Ok, so I didn't know this was a thing until I saw some friends sharing the below image. I was absolutely terrified when I saw this. Then I looked into it and found the following information: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/lgbtp-adding-letter/
The LGBT+ community is *NOT* and has *NEVER* accepted pedophilia (or "pedosexuals").
The account that this post (and others like it) came from are troll accounts that no longer exist (I checked myself on Twitter).
"...no LGBT organization has ever come out in favor of child molestation. Furthermore, this attempt to link homosexuality to pedophilia was rooted in bigotry, not statistics."
"Claims that the LGBT community is adding a 'P' to represent 'pedosexuals' originated with a homophobic smear campaign."
Please, please, PLEASE share the truth of this with everyone you know including those who might be tricked by the original post. Sadly, not everyone is going to fact-check when it comes to things like this (and some just don't care because of personal prejudices).
Fight the ignorance of this situation by spreading the truth, as I do my best to stand with the LGBT community in helping to quell these horrible lies!
(P.S. - I decided to post this separate from the original posting on the public group (Link) as the comments and conversation on that post were filled with despicable homophobia and slander far beyond the disgust at pedophiles.)

WE must be that progress. Every day, whenever possible. Be mindful of what messages we put out as individuals - not only by our actions... but even by our lack of action. We must stand up for, and defend the victimized, for ultimately we all become them through apathy.
