There comes a time in every evil witches practice where a wand becomes necessary. However not all of us can go to fancy wandmakers, and it’s hard to steal a wand from a fairy godmother nowadays. This spread, however, works in place of a wand, for casting a quick curse on the go.
The spread goes like this:
Card 1: This is the heart of your wand sort of speak, it is the focal point to which everything is channeled or given energy to. Think of it as a shiny crystal that you focus all of your intention to.
Card 3: The handle of your wand, which like every wand works to ground you while you are casting your spells.
Cards 2 and 4: This pair explores the practical actions of how to achieve your desire or intention. After all, a wand can only do so much, sometimes you put in a little effort to achieve your desire.
Cards 5 and 6: This pair explores what you need to make your magic work. This is the part where if you feel like you need to make a quick little chant, and you decide not to use it for your number 1 card.
Cards 7 and 8: These two show the outcome of your spell and how well your wand worked while casting.
Now the moment these cards are flipped over, your wand will cast your spell. This spread can be used to give a blessing to someone or a curse. It’s up to you how you use it.

EEE! We did it, guys! Made it to the 10th challenge, our first landmark!
If you’ve managed to do every challenge so far, once you complete today’s challenge, you’re eligible for up to 2 entries into the contest! Just make sure all your challenge posts were tagged with “L.I.A.C.” and when you post today’s, link me into the post - @resonance-of-libra - so I can confirm completion and make you a Star! (P.S. if you missed a few *cough or all cough* challenges so far, you can always play catch up! You don’t have to do all 10 TODAY to be eligible, you just have to finish 10 by month end!)
Enough about that though! Today’s challenge is what’s important! Today, we are going to work in intuitive spreadcrafting! What you’re going to do is shuffle your deck, then put a card down - face down. Then another, and another and another until it feels “right.” Place them however you’re drawn to place them - maybe some are sideways or at an angle, maybe one is floating off away from the main group. Once they’ve been placed, look at your little (or big!) spread and see what it reminds you of - like an ink blot test with a pile of cards! Once you’ve got an idea of what your cards look like, assign placements based on that. “Well, I saw stairs, leading into a basement, and it felt like I was exploring deep into the recesses if my soul. So card 1 is up here at the top of the stairs, and down at the bottom, the lowest card, is what I’ll find. The sideways one I put in between is like a step, something that will lead me deep into my subconscious. And I had a card up away from my stairs - like a light bulb over it all. This will help to illuminate what I find!”
Post a picture of your spread and the placements - and if you’re feeling brave, flip.the cards and read with your very own intuitively created spread! Tag with “L.I.A.C.” and “10/15 completed” (or whatever number you’ve done, if you’ve missed any) and then link me to your post if this is #10 for you! I’ll be making additions to the Starbowl in the evening!
Raven and I are back from hiatus with a fun little workshop on June 26th, starting at 6pm EST.

Now while I was developing this spread. I was trying to focus on a specific potion in mind I could use for it. Until It hit me, villains hate being told what to do so why should I form rules for this spread!?
I’m just going to offer this as a guide of sorts. You can decide what kind of potion or spell you want to use for it.
This could be a blessing, a curse, something that can help you cheat on a mid-term. It can be whatever you wish for it to be!
Now start by giving the cards a nice shuffle. While you’re doing so, whisper your intent to them, it’ll help with the end product of the potion. Now once you’re doing shuffling those cards, lay them out into this spread:
The circle represents the cauldron that you are going to be making your potion in. While laughing manically as you steer your potion.
The three cards to the side, represent the ingredients for the said potion. Now, this is where your imagination comes in. The three cards can represent whatever you desire them to represent.
Eye of newt, bats wings, the heart of your enemies. It can be whatever you want them to be if you feel like you need more than three cards than just stick as many as you need in there.
But the most important factor of this potion is that you put those cards inside the circle, steer the potion up a bit, by moving the cards around in the cauldron. Now once you have the potion good and steered.
Turn the Ingredients face up, now once you’ve had all the ingredients face up and read them.
You’ve sealed the potion, but like I said this is meant to be a guide you can seal however you wish for it to be sealed.
