Hope In Hard Times: Spring Branch ISD Comes Together
Bolstered by a thriving apartment-centric suburban environment, the Spring Branch ISD area is an academic section of town for many parents with children, many of whom are enrolled in the sizable Spring Branch ISD school community including Northbrook Middle School, Northbrook High School, Terrace Elementary, Spring Woods High, and more. Easy access to schools and school resources are ideal for those living in residential properties within the area, including 3corners East, 3corners West, 3corners North, Emerson Senior Living, the Estates at Spring Branch, etc. Daily-life apartment living here tends to be very affordable in terms of rental expenses and offers many opportunities for parents and students to commute freely towards school-related activities in the surrounding area. The budding influx of new restaurants and growing regional economy have only added to Spring Branch’s perks from the quick access to the Sam Houston Tollway to the scenic landscapes of the various recreational parks in the area.
But even with this in mind, there is no doubt that the recent Covid-19 pandemic has more than taken a heavy toll on the hearts and minds of every member of the Spring Branch community, and the impact on students is certainly no exception. Over the past few months, Spring Branch ISD has taken special steps during this Covid season to ensure the quality and safety of all its students.
Spring Branch ISD recently featured a new announcement on its website advertising a key seminar on mental illness in the wake of Covid-19. The program, sponsored by Parent U and presented by Heather Lambert, aims to tackle the impact of trauma on children and the need for a message of hope for mental wellness within our community. For anyone in the Spring Branch community with young children that have been impacted during this crisis, either through the loss of a loved one to Covid, or maybe even from the sudden unexpected life changes that spawned from the outbreak, this is an excellent opportunity to discover the importance of resilience during hard times.
This event will take place on Thursday, November 5th at 6:00pm.
