@zigzag-wanderer I know you always look forward to my spring pictures. The crocuses are among the vanguard!(Keep forgetting to take pictures of the snow drops. It's been super rainy here. Hard to take pictures when it's pouring)
A smattering of a these little guys are starting as well. No clue what they're called
These are always the firstest firstest. They're sparse on the tree but when it's warm they smell pretty. Again no clue what they're called. Just spring flowers!
Sorry I haven’t updated in a few days! I have been so busy with school stuff that I have barely had time to do my drawings, let alone upload and post them. In apology, I will put a lot of effort into Tuesday’s drawing and make it extra special for you! ;)
About the above drawings, it was the first time I drew a lightsaber and the first time I tried doing a wreath (you know, like the ones you see all over pinterest). The lightsaber was inspired by my nerd of a cousin’s wedding videos being posted online, one of which was a skit involving storm troopers and lightsabers. As an afterthought, I was like “Oh! This would look cool with watercolor!” but forgot that I wasn’t using the correct type of paper, so that is why the green is blotchy haha. For the wreath, it was because at school, we are putting on an event for residents called “Spring into Spring.” It will be a super cute event on Monday, the first day of spring, where people can plant seeds and eat little “dirt” cups. On this, I learned that my Staedtler pen takes a lot longer to dry than I’m used to so the eraser made streak marks :( Besides that, I think it was a pretty good attempt!
Whether sailing the sound or spending the day indoors, nautical looks are always appropriate. http://bit.ly/2qG5mlg
We tested easy ways of planting potatoes in containers and straight in the ground.
If you are a VERY adventurous gardener and want to grow something other than tomatoes and herbs, you can try to grow potatoes! Use this link to help you as you go through the perilous journey of tilling, digging, planting and more.
