Last weekend! Final day of the ski season in Engelberg so we decided to go, but the weather was pretty good on Saturday and we knew ski conditions wouldn't be great so we climbed in the valley on Saturday. Two friends spontaneously joined us and we had a lovely first rock sesh of the year (even though I was pretty scared, as usual when I haven't climbed on rock in a while, which is pretty much always in the past few years 😭) (side note: not me in any of the pictures, all my cool friends haha).

Then Ben and I had an amazingly cosy evening in the van - I'm still not used to how fantastic it is in there now 😍 reading in bed felt pretty special that night.

And then the last ski of the season on sunday 😥 sad that the season is over but already looking forward to next winter when, if everything goes to plan, I will be much less stressed and busy and able to do much more skiing and ski mountaineering! Yay. Had a nice day anyway and it felt so good to get an adventure weekend in inbetween all the madness.

Killington Resort, Vermont

I was in Vermont on business, so after I finished in Rutland, I drove over the mountain to visit Killington. The resort prides itself in the length of its season, usually opening in late autumn and closing as far as possible into spring.

I hadn’t skied there in many, many years. My wife asked if as long as I was there, was I going to rent skis and give it a try. I would have loved to, but only if they had knees to rent too ;-/
