The romanticism of snow falling on creaky old buildings is the only force strong enough to motivate me to write on a Sunday morning

26, 18, and 3 for the numbered asks!
Thanks for sending some asks!
26. what's your favorite thing to do on lazy days when you have 0 obligations ?
My favorite thing to do will be sleeping in and/or lying in my bed for hours on end. That's probably my most favorite thing to do. 😌
18. what is your favorite season?
Definitely winter❄⛄
(minus looking like a penguin whenever I go out with those thicccc full body jackets + scarfs to prevent your nose and ear to get frost bites and loading groceries on your car trunk)
All jokes aside, winter is my favorite because whenever I see snow falling on the ground, it brings out the 'lil me'. It had always been my wildest dream to live in a place where it snows.
3. a place that you want to travel to
Ugh! That's a tough one. There are just so many.....Brazil will be one of them. I have met a lot of Brazilians in my college and they are one of the best peoples that I have ever met. They are super friendly, helpful and really makes you feel belonged when you are with them. I love the language and the diverse culture. I can't wait to go to Brazil when the world gets stable and I save up some money.

Spent a long time journaling outside today, which was really satisfying.
Now I’m in the library working on my thesis, but these other girls in the study room keep talking and taking off their masks to eat gummy bears which they’re chewing so loudly I can hear from 10 ft away 😡

Started a mini art museum in my journal so I can always have physical copies of my favorites with me! With final papers and exams coming up, I’ll need all the comfort I can get, but I think these will help ✨
I’ve been very unproductive this weekend because my boyfriend was leaving town today and I wanted to spend as much time with him as possible. Now that he’s left, though, I’m trying to get into some thesis research this evening!
I haven’t been on tumblr in forever but I think it’s time to come back! One of my friends was telling me how her therapist told her to romanticize her life instead of just rushing through it, and that resonated with me and reminded me why I liked being here. I feel like I’ve been numb for a while now and I want to recognize and appreciate the beauty in my life again.
So anyway, I’m back! Feel free to send a message and say hey 💕

Perusing the local arts/culture magazine for journaling ephemera and ideas for weekend fun before I start work and school in September. I just got back from a trip to another city and it made me appreciate mine more. One of my goals this year is to immerse myself in the local culture of my hometown before moving abroad for grad school!

Re-potted my plants and cleaned my study space today so I’m feeling pretty productive even though I didn’t do much schoolwork.
After dinner I’m hoping to jumpstart my final essay for sociolinguistics and potentially read some secondary sources for my thesis.

Just finished my first day at my new job! I was overwhelmed at first because I wasn’t sure where to begin, but towards the end of the day I started making some real progress on my project. Now to study for my Kaqchikel class tomorrow morning 💪
