Finally had time to sit down today and do a practice spin for a bigger project I‘ve been planning for a few years now… And it turned out so awesome, look at it!!!

Yo I‘ve finally learned how to spin!

Last month I got my new spinning wheel and started painting it :) Here are some pictures my friend took while she stayed with me :

And this last week I finally cracked it (with the help of a nice little old lady) and even managed to fill an entire spindle today :)

I’m so happy!!!! I think i‘ll do a chain ply with this and then maybe knit a hat out of it?? We‘ll see!

#the wheel is a kromski fantasia that i bought off a little old lady that never used it #and the wool is some merino that she apparently still had lying around #so I used it as a practice yarn :)#practice roving? Finished dyeing and spinning some yarns! I am absolutely in love with them, they’re so fluffy and squishy its amazing. The plan is to build a triangle frame loom this week, and make some cute bandanas with these, as Christmas gifts for my besties.

Okay, spinning update: I am still at war with my wheel. Something is not working. Until I figure that out I've moved on to a drop spindle, and I love it.

Anyways, this is my first yarn!

It’s some undyed alpaca wool and I got around 350m out of it :)

Dyed some wool the other day!

This came out a lot less turquoise than it was supposed to be, but I am really not all that sad about it. Its so pretty!!

Finished my second yarn just in time for vacation! Gonna weave with it when I get back. Im soo exited!!

Finished another scarf! Took me ages due to the thin weft wool, but i really loooove the outcome :D I did miscalculate the length a bit so its not symmetrical, but I’ve made peace with that ^^
