A current WIP ive been working on for some months now

Its a giant dragon made entirely out of fabrics; its body is sewn together from wool coating fabric and sequin fabric, its scales i knit and sewed on, its eyes are tiger eye stones and its wings i spun, dyed and knit myself.

This sword is going to eventually end up going through the dragons body, as the dragon has been slayed by a knight (me). And down here we have me for reference of size lol.

The work is about me struggling with doom thoughts and wanting to break free of that by slaying it like a monster. I also wanted to combine all of the fiber arts i love into one big project.

Oh and its called De Vloek Van De Draak (the curse of the dragon)

Ik had nog nooit echt van de zes zwanen gehoord voordat het in de efteling verscheen, maar het verhaal raakt me elke keer. De liefde, het onrecht, de tragedie en het doorzettingsvermogen.

En dan de uitvoering van de efteling met de bloemen, de lichtjes, de zwanen waar je in kan zitten en door de grot mee kan varen. Pure kunst.

Voor als je het nog niet doorhad, ik hou zeer veel van de efteling

And then the efteling concept with the flowers, the lights, the swans which you can sit in that float through the cave. Pure poetry.

I hadn't really heard of the six swans before it came to the efteling, but the story gets me everytime. The love, the injustice, the tradegdy and the perseverance.

If you cannot tell, I love the efteling very very much
