I’m gonna infodump about my redesign hcs for the SMGs I have in my head.
So the redesigns I have in mind don’t really differ much from the original designs becuz I like them, but there are some notable changes.
- Smg4 has facial scars that manifest as tree branch, vein-like faint pink lines and complete heterochromia from IGBP. His right eye turned pink on the same side as his scars, so now he has one blue eye and one pink eye. He also has a scar from the lobotomy but it’s hidden by his hair. His hair is also pretty scruffy but that’s hidden by his hat. Not much else changes about his appearance.
- Smg3 also has facial scars and heterochromia from IGBP, though with a difference. His scars look like one big blotch of scarred skin, kinda like Blitz’s from HB. A part of his left eye turned yellow gold on the same side as his scars, so now he has partial heterochromia with his right eye being red and his left eye being red and gold. Other than that, not much changes about his appearance.
- Smg2 wears an actual proper hoodie, which is to say one with a hood and actual arm sleeves. He also carries a bag around his shoulder with any essential supplies that he and one might need.
- Smg1 doesn’t differ much from his appearance aside from wearing a tool belt and wearing glasses occasionally.
- Smg0’s most notable change is that he now has little wings on the sides of his cap. He can sometimes fly with those wings.
- Niles’ appearance does not change at all. After all, why change perfectiøn?
Bonus round!! Some redesign hcs for the avatars!
- Mario wears a green scarf to match with Luigi who wears a red scarf, it also has some pins on it reminiscent of his friends.
- Spudnick wears the same hoodie as Smg2 but with some added overalls.
- Fred’s appearance is basically the same as canon but with the added little wings on the sides of his cap to match Smg0.
Here are my additional hcs if Spudnick, Fred, Smg0, and Niles survived:
- Spudnick has scars that look like cracks around his head from when his life energy was sucked out of him.
- Fred has grayed out null texture patches of skin with bits of pink in them.
- Smg0 is missing an arm and has null texture bits on his hand and stump. He originally didn’t have these textures but due to his fusion as Eldritch Zero, these textures were passed on to him like a disease. He wears bandages over them in a similar fashion to Niles.
- Niles has red null textures as a result of losing the Godbox’s power. They’re located primarily along his hands but bits are also located on parts of his torso and back.

Ok but srsly I just had a random spike in motivation to return to the fandom and I’m pretty sure this will last like a week at best but I just wanted to post something while I’m at it (I got like 3 tests tmrw and I’m doing this I’m so productive)
Ok so this fixation is mainly on the toytoy trio(+ my oc that I drew once and never again), and also btw all the drawings are like atleast 5 months before spudnick got killed so..
I got a few hcs for it lololol
TW: very OOC, also might have angst
1. Very obvious from my drawings, SMG1 is transmasc
2. ANOTHER SMG1 TRANS HC, Partially the reason why he started learning meme energy magic(aside from just generally being interested in it), he wanted to use his powers to transition into a transmasc much easier.
3. Spudnick, SMG1 and SMG2 were around 17ish(spudnick was just stupid as fuck) mentally even with spudnick being canonically like 14 ingame before spudnick got killed, while spuddles was both mentally and ingame around 7 years old
4. SMG2 was like a god at video games, so much so that spudnick would sometimes rage so hard he’d break the controller
5. Practically canon, SMG2 was insanely clumsy, like they were universes punching bag level clumsy
6. Bloc(SMG1 but leggy like) started to exist shortly after spudnick’s death, this is likely due to unhealed trauma.
7. Partially the reason why SMG1 usually never wears clothes is that most of the clothes option they had for his body was dresses, any Mrs dysphoria didn’t like that.
8. Spuddles is SPUDNICK’S LITTLE SISTER, she is in no way a love interest or the peach of the toytoy trio, she is kinda like an assistant/helper who helps then navigate on their adventures.
8. Spuddles is very observant, she can spot the smallest details. This has helped the others a shit ton(she was the one who found out that the usbs have an antivirus feature)
9. The squad would often have sleepovers where the four of them would huddle up in a large blanket with three pillows and just doze off, but smg1 snores so fucking loud that usually spudnick wouldn’t be able to sleep at all.
10. SMG1 used to think that SMG1 meant “Spudnick meme girl 1” and SMG2 meant “Spudnick meme guy 2”, this was before they found out what it actually meant
11. How an SMG ages is dependent on their avatar, so if an avatar ages, so does their guardians and vice versa, but if an avatar dies, then the smg’s body doesn’t fully recognize them as an SMG and while they can still use their powers, they now age like a normal character(and slightly faster to catch up to the years they didn’t age) and can be somewhat more vulnerable. Which is why SMG1 and SMG2 stayed physically 14 for the 7 years they lived with spudnick but are now in their 30s
12. The hc above also applies for the avatar’s siblings, which is why spuddles is currently around 24 years old(she was added later into the game)
12. The memory in the other universe ep isn’t completely accurate to what actually happened, it was severely altered by smg1 and smg2 mental wellbeing in order to cope(like they weren’t nearly as knowledgeable with meme energy as was showcased in the memory bc smg1 felt like it was his fault for being “stupid”, and smg2 saw a shit ton of people die including people he was close with but blocked them all from their memory)
13. SMG1 and SMG2 share a pod and are essentially twins, it’s bc smg1 mentioned that it was his pod yet the memory was in smg2’s perspective, implying that it’s also smg2’s pod
14. SMG1 and Spuddles are actually really close, spuddles looked up to smg1 as a leader back when they were in the toytoy kingdom and still kinda does today.
15. Spuddles lived alone in the apartment her, smg1 and smg2 shared after the anniversary movie, this was the 2nd lowest point of her life and she felt like she wanted to give up(she thought both smg1 and smg2 died)
16. Smg1 gave spuddles a gun and a trash can lid to protect herself after spudnick’s death, the same items she used to survive bob’s clients 9 years later
17. Spuddles knew Bob a year before smg1 did due to that client incident I mentioned earlier, their chill with eachother but spuddles question’s smg1’s taste in men.
18. She would teach spudbo how to bring rats home to annoy the fuck out of smg1 and Bob like the good aunt she is.
