if i’m correct to assume you mean ella (love you so much) then this question is very interesting
at any point in the story she’s still a child, and until cvg2 she had no connection to her parents at all. other than a green/brown jacket (changes color between stories for symbolism) she’d had since she arrived at the orphanage. but in cvg2 she gets a gold oval pendant that has B + W carved into it. she wears this in every book afterwards
