Donald Duck and his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck on a quest with square eggs in the Andes - Scrooge McDuck on a quest for golden eggs - Happy Birthday Carl Barks - Tribute to Carl Barks and my cover redraw - Duck comics and Duckverse - My style
This time I drew something related to one of my favorite comics and definitely dedicated to one of the best comic writers and artists ever, which is Carl Barks and his comic "Lost in the Andes!" published and released in April 1949. Since it was his birthday, and he was born on March 27, 1901 in near Merrill, Oregon, so I dedicated something related to him. Unfortunately he died on August 25, 2000 in Grants Pass, Oregon, but he left behind numerous works that mean a lot to us fans of Donald Duck comics and influenced many to follow his path. Thank you very much Carl Barks for everything!
I drew a redraw of the cover of both the comic and Barks's artwork about square eggs, where Donald Duck and his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck went to South America (more precisely, in the country of Peru) to a valley in the Andes Mountains in search of square eggs. Although they found all sorts of things there, where people wear square clothes and keep chickens with square heads and bodies that lay square eggs, in the end they did not manage to bring any significant square eggs to Duckburg, because the chickens ate them, and those were the male chickens that they took with them. That comic is certainly one of my favorites, so I drew a redraw of it in honor, of course in my own way in my own style, as befits them. Although I am not very good at drawing square things. XD In addition to Donald and his nephews, I also added Scrooge McDuck who went after them, but he is looking for golden eggs, since he loves golden and precious artifacts and things. If you didn't know, there is already a sequel to that comic written by the famous Don Rosa, and it's called "Return to Plain Awful" from 1989, where Scrooge really went with his nephew and grand-nephews to the Andes to that lost place. Of course, if Carl Barks didn't exist, there wouldn't be Scrooge, so for that reason I added him too, and he is my best character after Donald and his nephews. And sorry for the background. XD
I hope you like this drawing and this idea and my redraw and feel free to like and reblog this, but please don't copy these same ideas without mentioning me and without my permission! Thank you! Happy birthday to the famous Carl Barks and if you're a fan of his, you'll definitely like this! And thank you Barks for everything, including for the new inspirations!
