More progress on Square Legs
Sup gamers, gamerettes, and game people. Miles here back at it again with the shizzy rpg maker stuff.
First item of business. I bought aesprite. Because of this the color pallet of the game is going through some tweaks and receiving some overall visual touch-ups.
Here’s a before n’ after of Greenton Forest!
As you can see I’ve changed up a lot of the colors, as well as added a cool lil parallax thingy to the trees. I hope these changes aren’t too jarring. Lemme know if you prefer the old or the new!
In other news a new map is in the works! Here’s an early look at an amusement park place you get to visit during your quest!
I’m trying to see if I can somehow make the roller coaster ride-able but no promises.
Finally my most exciting news. New characters are on the way! Including a new party member!
Triangula is a butch lesbian fighter class with two arms and no legs!
Twice the punch and none of the walk!
I’m hoping with this addition I can add more diversity to the cast of characters in a way that is un-offensive or pandery! I’m also wanting to add a dating feature to this game. Because Square Legs and Circle Girl are both BI, they will have plenty of options within their party to choose from. (Spoiler alert, Rovarli WILL be a party member). This means you can play one session of the game where square and circle date each other and another session where cirlce and triangula date eachother and square and rovarli date each other.
This is all super ambitious and I worry some of it will fall through the cracks or will straight up be scrapped from the game. In the event that I were to get rid of this feature, which relationship path would yall prefer to see? Just to be clear if Circle and Square get together, rest assured there WILL be companion characters for Rovarli and Triangula to get with, so either way there will still be some gay/lesbian representation goin on here!
