Squeeballs Party is a party game for the Wii and DS developed by Eiconic Games (a now dissolved EU game dev company) and published by PDP and Aksys (Note: the IGN review credits Handheld Games as well but the manual doesn't state them anywhere)

The gameplay loop is the same as any other party game but the real appeal is the Squeeballs. Squeeballs are a species of ball-shaped animals with incredible resistance towards taking injuries and exclusively exist on Squeeballs Island.

The plot is that a toy company has discovered the Squeeballs and is interested in selling them as toys. You play as a tester that has been sent to the island and your job is to test the Squeeballs by hitting them, exploding them, cooking them, frying them, and pretty much any extreme measure to see if they can survive the hands of the average toddler.

The game has prerendered cutscenes and drawn instructions before every game that work towards giving the Squeeballs personality, and the only real unlocks outside of game modes are fact cards about the Squeeballs themselves.

I have a lot more to say but it would be incredibly niche info so just understand that this game means a lot to me
