Video: Curtiss King - Kings + Queens (Documentary)
2012 has been a very busy year for the homey Curtiss King. He ran a successful campaign to earn a slot on the Paid Dues Festival, released several music videos, played hella shows, and just dropped his new album, Atychiphobia (The Fear Of Failure). Below is his recently released documentary, Kings + Queens, in which the director, Squeeze Williams, follows Curtiss along for his journey of 2012. Curtiss also fills us in on his influences, inspirations, and aspirations. The audio engineering was done by David May. Check it below!
Diamond Bar, California rapper Andre Damar presents the music video for his new single "No Hope". The track is produced by Sal P, the Bay Area producer behind tracks for Layzie Bone, Clyde Carson and more. The video is directed by Squeeze Williams, currently developing his first feature film, a hip-hop-inspired action film starring Muy Thai prodigy Teddy Lee. Damar is a member of the California group OSA (One Step Ahead). "I tried to show a vision through my words about the everyday struggles a lot of young black men go through in America through my eyes," says Andre of the song. "I talk about the grind we go through just to survive and I feel we all share the same grind of making it in America day to day. My grind is rapping and the next man grind is hustling and I just think the two worlds are very similar, especially for a black man in my city." Click here to listen to his previous mixtape Vibez.
