Ballroom Date
Squild and Orrizz never claimed their relationship was normal. They weren't even technically married. So sometimes when they tried to do "normal" couples activities it got a bit awkward. They had been invited to a ball for the underdark's merchant guild. They were both told they could bring a "date".
"We... never have gone on a date have we Orrizz?" Squild said.
Orrizz laughed as he picked out clothes for them, "Darling we have been on so many dates we just never called them that." Orrizz picked two gowns with inverted colors so they would match. "We should add skulls to our outfits. You know how drow can be at parties. All about who can backstab who. Just a little reminder not to mess with an illithid."
Squild chuckled and looked through their things for some nice looking skulls. Orrizz did their makeup and soon they looked both beautiful and threatening. They headed out to the ball together, Squild holding Orrizz's hand the entire way there.
They arrived and were greeted at the entrance. The hall was already filled with guess and a band was playing. Normally these events were used to mix and mingle but the couple could already tell from the rooms thoughts that no one wanted to talk to them. They were both perfectly happy to have time to themselves.
"Orrizz, dance with me." Squild said.
Orrizz lit up, ecstatic his husband already knew what he wanted. They glided onto the dancefloor and began to waltz. Squild rested his head against Orrizz and Orrizz in turn swooned. They danced together through multiple songs in perfect sync.
Eventually they both got tired and retired to a balcony. Orrizz leaned on the balcony and looked out over the city below. Squild gently hugged him from behind and nuzzled into his neck. Orrizz chuckled and leaned back into Squild. They could still hear the music inside so they gently swayed together.
"Thank you for a wonderful date darling." Orrizz said.
Squild chuckled. "I didn't plan this."
"No but you are always by my side. And that's what I appreciate most." Orrizz said.
The two laced their tentacles together and closed their eyes. Soon all they could hear was eachother's thoughts as they whispered sweet nothings back and forth. It was a lovely date.
