Soo.. I am awfully dissapointed by the amount of love this wonderful story has received (or should I say hasn't?) Honestly, I read it, and I loved it, and it was everything a fandom-favourite story usually is. It HAS PLOT for god's sake! As well as a bunch of interesting motorcycle trivia I never knew I'd enjoy learning about. It HAS IT ALL: all the important characters and all the important relationships and it's been finished since 2013 and has less that a thousand kudos?!? Where is this world going?? So, since I actually just reread it (less than two weeks after I read it first) and am still riding the fanfiction-high I usually get when I finish a good story, I decided it needs some kind of.. advertising? Marketing strategy for popularization of amazing and amazingly underrated Cherik stories? Anyway!! If there are any hardcore Cherik fans looking for a good read to pass the time or just a well-written story to enjoy, well, what are you waiting for!? Go and read it! I swear, the further into it you go, the better it gets. Like, who doesn't love Michael Fassbender on a motorcycle? And when you add usually sweet and caring James in his rendition of Charles riding a bike like a boss... Damn. No wonder they are in Phoenix. It's way too hot for some other place, say, Alaska.. There is the pining, there is the shady past, there is the two being emotionally constipated assholes, there is Sean and Alex and the rest of the group of our darling mutant misfits, not mutant in this particular case but just as darling as always. There is angst, the bitter-sweet pang of it, and the love, and the ache of wanting something you can't have, and of wanting to protect that something at all costs, and the undeniable attraction between them. Gah! I just can't with this fic anymore! A very large thank you to the amazing euphorbic for writing this and sharing it with the world!
