It’s too cute! It’s too cute, I’m going to die watching this!

Chase couldn’t even find the words to say any of his thoughts aloud; he was busy covering his mouth to stifle any noise he might make unintentionally. The last thing he wanted was to squeak in delight and have Jameson startle awake because of it. The younger Ego was clearly dreaming, lashes flickering back and forth against his cheeks, but it wasn’t just his eyes moving. Chase could only do his best to hold back the laughter as he watched him shift and squirm. 

He’d already decided that he didn’t like the pillow, scrunching his nose at it and hunkering down so he could bury his head underneath it instead. His blankets were already halfway on the floor since he’d kicked one socked foot out to keep them at bay. Somewhere in the course of his dream he’d lost the other sock; his bare toes were curled in tight against the cold. All the while he was signing, his fingers too twitchy for Chase to even try interpreting, and the way he sighed and snuffled softly in his sleep – it was like watching a puppy.

He really should be recording this while he had the chance, Chase decided gleefully. He had a feeling Jameson wouldn’t believe him if he brought it up otherwise.
