Annie silently glanced down at the ground for a moment, the war was over....for now atleast and she and the others managed to stop the rumbling. It's been a month since the rumbling ended and she certainly wasn't expecting Midnight to come to her and say that of all things....after everything she and the others had done....was she truly forgiving them?

" You....do?"

Why?

She wanted to ask but instead glanced over to her "....I'm...I'm glad to hear that...Midnight, I'm sorry for the trouble we've caused you and the others."

He could have sworn he’d been seeing a kid who looked so much like him. He called him his son, he sure acted like it, but he needed to know for sure. Instead of encouraging him to touch clocks, he’d actually come up and talk to him for once. He seemed to be around, so he’d wait to see if he showed up. If not, he’d go hunting.

Up of into the distance he saw the young kid walking. He pushed off the wall and make his way over to him. “Hey!” He said, approaching him. “I haven’t actually had a chance to say much to you. I’m Josiah.” He said, extending his hand to the young boy.

The pieces of the vision glowed faintly in Mirabel’s bag as she hurried to the outskirts of the Encanto. Sneaking out of Bruno’s room, she had come across Antonio talking to a squirrel friend of his. After briefly explaining what she had been doing, showing him the pieces and asking if he somehow knew something, his squirrel chittered and he offered these words.

“He says there’s a leader squirrel outside of town that might know something. But be careful, okay, Mirabel?”

She had nodded as the little animal joined her, and now they had reached a small grove of trees near the base of one of the closer mountains. Looking around, she didn’t see anyone…at least, immediately. Fruitlessly, she called out to the forest around her.

“Hello? I was told by a squirrel here that you could help me with something! If you can hear me, say anything!”

“Nice! Another keeper. I’ve never been in such a beautiful forest before…”

Amelia snapped another photo with her phone of the wild, lush trees, perfectly framed by the blazing sun. She wasn’t the usual type to go hiking-and indeed, she had simply gone for a walk-but she had wandered a bit deeper than usual today, looking for the perfect shots.

She was about to snap another, of some bushes with delicious looking berries on them, when the leaves around her seemed to rustle with movement. As if an animal was in the shrubs, waiting for its prey to drop its guard…

She immediately turned on her flashlight, hoping to blind the creature as she slowly moved it around. Hopefully she was just being paranoid…
