All the NHPs in Lancer are so scary and come from such fucked up evil realms and with some unknowable twisted origin except for ATHENA. The only thing ATHENA did was take a fat bong rip and lock the fuck in. Graphic design is her passion, she is hurting no one.

Lancer mechs from memory #27: SSC Swallowtail (x2)

A custom SSC Operator-spec Swallowtail, in a PACKHUNT-type mobility configuration. Incorporates features from the KRF Pattern-II Everest lineage, used by the House of Sand. The SIMURGH-class NHP on board is supposedly 'salvage'; it is a Tactical Operations NHP typically utilised by House of Sand covert operatives, the notorious 'Sandmen'.

SCC says their mechs are "repairable instead of replaceable" or whatever but these are the least repairable frames I have ever worked with.

At least whoever designed the Swallowtail must of known what its like to be a scout and made the thing with the intention of it being able to travel through anything other than a fancy catwalk

Yeah, because there are a lot of paracausal components in SSC mechs these days, there are a lot of things that just... aren't there because they don't need them, even though they seem like essential components. This makes them rather an exercise to repair, especially the Monarch, which feels like a box of rockets, jump jets and armor, with very little in the way of access hatches. In these cases, it's very important to coordinate with the mounted NHP or COMP/CON (If applicable), and make use of the mech's own automatic repair systems.
