Djo Beary Pt. 1

So I'm playing around with backgrounds again (bless you, free version of Canva 🤪) and couldn't resist doing bear versions of Joe Keery in these outfits 😄 I hope you like themmm!! 🐻🧸❤️🫶

I'm really feeling the accessories in these, and I used a vintage scarf on Hopbear's hat (full 'fit coming soon...), made a wristband from pink ribbon and and a black bead and a bracelet using jewellery chain, and used another armband from an actual festival I went to, so here's some detail shots (nobody use this as an excuse to zoom in reeeeal close on Joe's belly, nuh-uh, nope... 👀)

Please tell me what you think! Also, as I don't follow much Djo stuff I'd love to hear any lore about these reference pics and where/why they were taken 😀

Steve Bearington, Pt. 2

Featuring: Apology Steve, Tunnels Steve and Party Steve!

First up, Apology Steve:

I couldn't get a jacket for him, but otherwise I'm pretty pleased with how he turned out, especially the posing and positioning of the bouquet and his legs/feet

Next, Tunnels Steve:

I was so excited when I worked out I could do this 'fit 😂 His raglan shirt is a backwards Bearfire Club one, the goggles and shades are bear-sized ones which are the cutest things ever, and the bandana is vintage 80s. I couldn't find bear gloves anywhere 🤷🏻‍♀️ The reference shot is a BTS one and I don't think Steve wears any kind of headband in the actual footage, but I could be wrong. And I'm lowkey psyched about nailing his little hip kick...

Finally, Party Steve:

Another one I couldn't resist. Posing bears is tricky - I can't turn their heads so had the choice of either having his face or body facing in the right direction, so went for body. Fun fact: this is Valentine's Day Eddie's shirt worn backwards 😛

And as usual for my detail-oriented nerdsters, here's some details I'm particularly giddy about:

Finding exactly the right type of tissue to wrap the flowers in, how well the pose came out, and how I did the shoes - they started off with pearlescent pink stripes, but a Posca acrylic pen came to my rescue and worked perfectly. I know they're probably leaning more towards Adidas than Nike, but I'm working with what I can find here 🤣

Joe Beary, pt. 1

Netflix & (I'm so not) Chill (about this outfit)

I'm sure we all remember Joe's sl*tty S5 premiere outfit with that painted on black shirt, wh*reish leather jacket and sinfully tight jeans...? I figured Joe Beary deserved his own moment on the red carpet in a bear version of that 'fit, complete with handcuff-looking details on those pants. Eddie would be so proud 😉😜

And because we all enjoyed him jogging past the crowds with that 🎂cake🎂 he so kindly brought to the buffet, I memorialised that moment too...

(Of course I found some better spectacle options for him after I'd done the original pictures 🙄)

Finally here's a cheeky detail shot of Joe's crotch those jeans details for anyone who's obsessed (with either 👀)

Steve Bearington (pt 1)

Yes, the Build a Bear obsession is still obsessioning, and today I have a number of Steves to share with you 😄 🐻

First up, Upside Down Steve. I can still remember my joy when I realised I could swap out Eddie and Steve's clothes and make a shirtless, barefoot (bearfoot? *groan*) Steve 'fit. I can't find grey trousers anywhere, so tattered light wash denim will have to do. I even found a little torch in my charms stash, so behold, UD Steve 🫲🫱

Next, Preppy Steve. We all remember him from S1, and even if he was a little bit of a d!ck he still had his own style.

Finally (for the time being, did you spot the 'pt 1' up there? 😜), Christmas Steve. I couldn't resist the ST sweater when I saw it last year, and I thoroughly enjoyed pairing it with Steve's preppy polo and his chinos to recreate this stylistically-iconic moment.

Professional secrets revealed: Preppy Steve's outfit was way too loose, so I got creative. How do they make too-big garments fit models mid-photoshoot? Like this, of course! (This is absolutely true - don't believe what the pictures tell you kids, you're all beautiful 😘🥰)

Some detail shots for those that love them. Steve from the rear (puffy tail and all), a closeup of his tiny torch ☺️, and a closer look at the detail on that Demogorgon sweater (I particularly like the fairy lights and the tiny bear silhouettes near the bottom row). And yes, I am a 'Eddie would love Led Zeppelin' truther 😅

For @st-loveconfessions Make Something May I’m sharing my new obsession, customising Build-a-Bears as Stranger Things characters. These are my favourites so far: Eddie, Finale Eddie and Will the Wise still have some work left to do but are almost done! 😃

I’m considering starting a sideblog for all of my weird merch finds and peculiar crafting (maybe also kitten updates??), but I’m terrified that it’s actually absolutely cringe and nobody will want to see it. Let me know if you would!!
