Getting ready for the rain/snow incoming...
My old lady Stache cat needs her nails trimmed regularly; they get stuck in things and they will curl into her foot if I don't get to them fast enough. Just now, she kept getting one front claw stuck in the afghan on the end of my bed. I unstuck it for her - twice - and she just kept spinning around getting it stuck again and was getting more and more agitated. Even though it's only 7 in the morning and I'm ready to go back to bed for a few hours, I grabbed up my clippers, turned on the light, and clipped all the nails on her right front foot. She has arthritis and she puts up a VERY loud fuss when I do this, but I got it done quickly. A few minutes after I got back under the covers she walks up to me as if she was saying 'thank you,' then got off the bed without getting her claw stuck. Cats.
I love my son. What did I do to deserve him?

Spring Shave Sunday
After Chester got worked and got to play, and Jackson got his afternoon walk, Tala got her annual shave. She is a happy cat!
I made the mistake of driving by the house after mass tonight.
So tonight I need to focus on the positive.
My Oscar calendar next to my cross-stitch of Joe and Windsor
Tala coming into my room to see me. She still hides when she hears people/walking outside, but she's getting braver.
Stache on the afghan my mom made me.
Maverick in the kitchen.
Jackson and one of his chew toys. He's lost weight, in a good way, since we came. He's getting walks every day now, long ones 5 days a week, plus my brother gets him out several times, too.
Maverick in my bedroom window.
Now to finish The Journey Home.
