oh, i see. so the new changes will effectively turn reblog chains into quote tweets. that's... the most insanely stupid idea i've ever heard. tumblr is not twitter and THAT'S WHY WE LIKE IT.

tumblr is already dying and photography matthew is trying to kill it faster. the only thing keeping this broken website going is the loyal users who've been here for years. why are you appealing to a demographic that does not exist???

and, as others have put it, this is going to change the very essence of the site and why people love and prefer it over others, plus it's going to foster an unnecessary toxic and harassment-laden environment.

BOY would I like it if the ‘NEW’ notification for the new tumblr shop icon would go away. I keep seeing it from the corner of my eye and thinking I got an ask or a message. And I hate hate hate having uncleared notification badges. Please let me clear it tumblr. I am pawing at the ground around it; I don’t like this thing in my enclosure!
