VideoJoe is working on staining a concrete floor & he wants the owner's approval as to how light or how dark she wants the stained concrete floors to look. You can do that? Yes. Well on a removed black tar floor mastic concrete floor you can. Not sure about if you apply a dark stain to a concrete floor if you can make that lighter. I would think you could if you sprayed a bit of WD40 on there or floor cleaner in a spray bottle or something like that I'm guessing you could, maybe even paint thinner. This particular floor had a black tar floor mastic applied to it years ago to hold down vinyl floor tiles so he can lighten or darken this concrete floor so that is what he is working on.
