Stan Lewis

Stan Lewis, better known colloquially as “Dr. Stan”, was a superhuman scientist, doctor, engineer, political activist, and war hero, made famous for his efforts during the great war and for co-authoring the 28th Amendment to the US Constitution.

During the war, he was a key member of a task force assembled by multiple world governments to kill drakan terrorist D’aagor Ilias T’silth. Alongside US Colonel Slade Andrews and King of Dragons Sirus Albion, he served as this task force’s leader, and was integral to many of the group’s major victories. Though he rarely did any fighting himself, he became world-renowned as ‘The First Hero’, and his efforts during the war turned him into a household name and a champion of humanity.

After the war, Dr. Stan became the face of the superhuman community, and remained politically active until his death in 2017. He was a vocal advocate for superhuman and dragon rights, and helped author the 28th Amendment to guarantee these rights. In the years following its ratification, many other nations followed suit, using the 28th Amendment he wrote as a template.

Over the course of the war, he had fostered a close friendship with the King of the Dragons. Together, they led the charge for the integration of dragons and halflings into human society, a process which is still ongoing to this day. They also worked together to push forward LGBT rights in the US and across the globe, though their success in this regard was limited. Nevertheless, because of their partnership, humans and dragons became closer than any thought possible, and their nation stands today as one of our closest allies.

Dr. Stan took the role bestowed upon him as the face of the superhuman community very seriously, and did everything in his power to help normalize those who might otherwise have been feared or cast out by society. He used his wealth, name, and reputation to give a platform to other, lesser known activists from across the country, and was himself a voice of peace and equality for all men and dragons.

He was also himself a superhuman, a super genius who was proficient in a variety of fields including science, medicine, and philosophy. He invented the field of bio-mechanics, the art of blending biology with technology, and created the world’s first fully functional artificial limbs and organs in 1997.

He was also one of the major backers of the first generation hero agencies and instrumental in the establishment of heroing as a legitimate profession, penning many of the rules and regulations that various agencies around the world follow to this day. He helped turn vigilantes who wanted to use their powers to help their communities into legitimate heroes who worked in tandem with law enforcement and local governments. He also ensured that they were paid for their services, so that they could live a comfortable life, and helped give birth to the hero industry as a whole.

Though he was frequently in the public eye, Dr. Stan did his best to keep his family life private, and rarely pulled his wife Emma or his son Stanley into the limelight. According to those who knew him best, he was as kind a soul as you’d ever meet, and a proud and dedicated father.

By the time he passed away in 2017, Dr. Stan had left behind a towering legacy which many would consider to be beyond reproach. He has become an almost mythical figure, and is fondly regarded the world over; though he was not a perfect man, few care to remember his flaws. He was ‘The First Hero’, and for all he did for man and dragon alike, he has earned his place in future history books.

I never posted my day 3 of RTX recap so here it is. Day three was busy for me. After breakfast we got to see Burnie's tesla in person and it's very nice. After that I had my signing with Matt and Trevor and they're both so nice. From there I ran over to the Hilton to meet Kevin and Stan. Then I walked the show floor for a bit and went to the AH Post production panel. After that panel I practically ran back down to the show floor and finally got to meet @keltbh and @ipkipi after trying to find them all weekend. Wandering the show floor after that I ran into Spoole. Then instead of trying to get into Off Topic I made the choice to just watch it and prep for the Dooley Mod party. The Dooleys are such amazing and sweet human beings and I love and appreciate them both. Also all three of the cats are really nice and friendly. After the mod party was my first time driving in Texas because I became the DD when our originally driver was a little wine drunk and the other was not feeling well at all.
