Stand profile: High Voltage
Namesake: High Voltage (ACDC song)
Stand Cry: "Ikikikiki... mashou!”
Appearance: 「High Voltage」appears as a feminine, humanoid figure standing slightly taller than Fumie. High Voltage is gold in color, noticeably muscular in build. The Stand appears to constantly be wearing orange goggles, leaving its true eyes invisible. The Stand has red lines running down its cheeks, which then run down its arms and end on the back of their hands in red circles. The Stand wears an outfit similar to one of Fumie’s, a pair of skinny jeans, and a white tank top with the text “GREAT DAYS” in English. The Stand wears a light blue jacket, with red kanji reading “偉大な日” (”Great Days”) on the back. Much like Fumie likes to do at times, the Stand has orange hair in pigtails.
Punching the soul/heart: High Voltage’s defining power, is that in addition to unleashing devastating physical blows, connected to High Voltage’s fist is the ability to punch one’s “soul,” or rather their “mind” or “heart” if you will. Connected to its fists, this allows High Voltage to make psychological assaults that leave no physical damage, but allow her to directly affect somebody’s emotions, motivations, and memories.
The “transmutation” effects last for ten minutes unless something is “sealed.” However, as somebody’s mood can change in this time period naturally, there is no guarantee it will stay the same. A destroyed emotion can return if the person feels these emotions once more.
These are not implemented if a Stand is attacked. The user must be the one attacked.
Emotions: While High Voltage cannot create new emotions, it can alter or destroy existing ones. As an example: let us assume a young pickpocket full of rage is about to attack Fumie with a knife. Using High Voltage, Fumie can “destroy” the aggression in his heart. This appears like a red “ghost” being pulled out of the boy, which High Voltage then destroys with its punches. This will destroy the “aggression” or “anger” in his heart for a period of time. While it may return on its own depending on how the person feels, Fumie can then use this time to talk to the boy, to change his mind so it will not return. Fumie considers this to be High Voltage’s most defining power.
Alternatively, Fumie can change emotions instead. “Anger” can become “happiness,” and “despair” can become “joy.” While these emotions will shift back to what they originally are, Fumie can do what she can to change a person’s mood herself, so that they will remain what they are at the end of ten period duration, as this is a “transmutation” ability that will return to how they once were.
Emotions cannot be permanently destroyed or sealed. While they can be “sealed,” (see below) they always have a chance to return.
Memories: Fumie can also affect memories with High Voltage. While she can “destroy” memories, Fumie greatly prefers to never do this: destroying something means it cannot be restored, essentially resulting in permanent memory loss. Memories can also be temporarily changed, but will return to how they were: this is good for short term mind games to be played.
Forgotten memories, or repressed memories can be recalled using High Voltage.
Sealing: High Voltage is also capable of “sealing” both emotions and memories. In this case, it sentimentally prevents somebody from feeling a specific emotion or remembering a specific memory indefinitely (as opposed to destroying them). Only one thing can be “sealed” on any person for a time, and trying to “seal” something else undoes the last. However, if the target has enough willpower or feels an incredible desire to recall these feelings and memories, it can be broken on its own.
Illusions: The one thing that High Voltage can create with its fists are very realistic illusions, the effects of “punching the mind.” High Voltage can implant hyper real illusions that effect all five senses, creating physical side effects (such as illness, nausea, vertigo) to attack somebody. At its most potent, complete sensory deprivation can be implanted.
Desires: The ability to destroy “desires” also exists, such as “the desire to fight,” or changed into something else (for ten minutes). Like the past two examples, if “changed,” it will only remain so for ten minutes, unless Fumie talks/takes action to actually permanently change their desire. These can range from “I’m going to fight you!” to “I’m going to buy McDonalds!” And so on.
High Voltage cannot “seal” a desire.
This power is inherently resisted by Stand users, and those will strong wills. A healthy Stand user not affected by fatigue or battle will be virtually immune to this power. However, the more physically injured and tired they become, the more suspectable they become to this power. A completely defeated enemy (such as one who can’t even summon their Stand) has very little resistance towards these techniques, although it still cannot reach 100% potency unless the target allows it to happen. Imagine it like an HP bar: the closer you are to 0%, the more effective Fumie’s powers become.
For the sake of fairness in the sake of crossover interaction, those who are magic, psychic, etc can resist this power as well.
Those with strong willpower and determination, even without Stands, can resist High Voltage’s power.
Herculean strength: Like most Stands of its type, High Voltage possesses superhuman strength, capable of competing with the likes of other close-range Stands like Star Platinum and Crazy Diamond, offset by its short range of 3 meters from its user. Like most Stands of its category, Fumie prefers to fight by having it launch series of rapid punches and kicks. Unlike most Stands of its class though, its offset by rather mediocre durability.
