no man has never been this funny, max
oh my
by her logic of "I don't think Syd would want to put up with that." Then wouldn't syd just leave the bear? because iit's the same behavior she's dealing with from Carmy. What I think is happening here is they somehow forgot that this is not a teen drama. They are trying to convince us this dynamic isn't a toxic disaster. Which is very disheartening, as this show is supposed to be intelligent, and they have intelligent adult viewers who are able to discern the red flags and dysfunction of this supposed adult dynamic.
So, now that they're caught out and they're trying to undo all of this by claiming "teenage love" ohh. "Staring into each other's eyes. People dont' want to see joy." It wasn't joy. It was torture for both of these characters and you aren't fully discussing the torture. give me a break and please don't play us for stupid. These fucking characters are in their thirties.
I would give it up to her if she kept it real and expressed what she really thought of the character because there ain't no way man. Stop trying to defend the dysfunction and keep it fucking real.
Ya'll played yourselves. You played the characters wrong thinking your audience would accept it and not see the dynamic for what it is. Trauma reanactment. Codependent. Trying to relive and fix the past in an unhealthy way. "staring deeply into each other's eyes" It's not that kind of show. Ya'll told us this. The very first season. So why should we believe and accept it now?
I would be more interested in this dynamic if they kept it real. If they actually explored and discussed the dysfunction in this dynamic. Claire would be more interesting to me as a character if molly could truly talk about her flaws and not just Carmy's. Instead, it feels like she doesn't want to shine a mirror on the things that can make a character more interesting. Imperfections makes a character interesting. Weird behavior makes a character more interesting. like girl, get up. Gollll-ly. That is why Carmy is such an interesting character because we can look at him, Jeremy, can look at him and say..yeah he's fucked up and we can still hold the space for him to improve.
"People dont want joy" Like shut the fuck up it's not even about that. lol. We are not idiots. We can hold the space for a fucking crashout like in the episode review and love the joy in the ending of Braciole.
The show is human and carmy and claire's relationship isnt' special. It's the same ass I am in a pre mid-life crisis. I need to revisit my past because I am 1. bored with me life *claire and 2. I need to have more fun *Carmy. Like, talk about that. Keep it interesting. Keep it real.
Like, where are we here? This makes me feel they really don't know what they're doing with sydcarmy lol because the sort of intimacy they've built up makes me feel like they're intending one thing but showing another? Maybe. Maybe not, but don't play us for stupid.
These disciples are so afraid of her, she got them summoning weapons just because she lifted a hand LOL
