The first issue of the second volume of Marvel Boy was published with a cover date of August 2000. The series was part of the Marvel Knights line. The issue saw the deaths of Merree, Captain Glory, Star Splendor, and Rogue Fantastic. The issue also introduced Noh-Varr, Gestalt, Merree, Captain Glory, Star Splendor, Rogue Fantastic, Plex, Midas Foundation, Dr Midas, Exterminatrix, Kirby Machines, Epiphany Engines, and The Marvel, created by Grant Morrison and J.G.
