Crossing Paths: 2260.9? (Xiong + Alenis + Jackson + Rhodes (CL))
After wandering around the first floor of shops, Wei and Alenis finally found a bar. It was tucked in a corner and if it wasn't for the sign, Wei didn't think that they would have been able to find it. It was a decent size place for a bar and the atmosphere was pretty relaxing. There were already two people sitting at the bar, both in Starfleet uniforms. Since most everyone wore civilian clothes, Wei assumed that they worked on the starbase.
"And for you, sir?" Wei could hear the bartender ask.
"I'll take a Black Reserve," the blond male at the bar answered. "Make it a double..."
"... on the rocks," Wei finished, unsure as to how she knew what he was going to say.

Needless to say, Gio was excited. She couldn't wait to open her bar. As soon as she set foot, Gio dropped her stuff off in her room and immediately started working on the layout of her bar. The entire morning was dedicated to moving around tables and chairs to get the exact look she was looking for. Once that was done, she spent the rest of her time moving in glasses, decorations, and what not. The only thing that was left for her to do was to bring the box of liquor in her hands to the bar (after all, there are just some drinks that can't simply be made by a replicator).
[ I'm going to be MIA a bit, don't really know how long. I'm moving back for school and marching band, so I'm really going to have to adjust and stuff and find a job sorry about that guys! ]

ANNOUCEMENT! Introducing Starbase 3!
The admins have been discussing the possibility of a second ship for a while now, and this has just recently become a reality. We would like to announce the next the newest group, Starbase 3!
This group will be run by an almost completely new set of admins. Admin Alex will be carrying over to Starbase 3, and will be also working on that project. Starbase 3 will not be functioning as a ship however, but as a space station in set in the Alpha Quadrant.
The station will be full of a ton of scientific opportunity and will be run by a Commander, who has not been chosen as of now, instead of a captain. However, the station also opens up a more diverse setting and characters. Instead of just mainly Starfleet characters, you can be a civilian who lives on the station, runs a restaurant, a tailor shop, or deal in intergalactic policies on the station as perhaps a Vulcan ambassador.
There are a ton of opportunitys not only for being on the station but also for characters who reside on the USS Normandy. Due to our affiliated status, both groups coexist in the same universe. So the Normandy may travel to Starbase 3 for medical uses, repair work, or even as a shore leave. Your pre-existing characters could transfer to the space station or vice versa.
Starbase 3 will not be officially begin roleplaying until some time next week, as the group of admins are still getting things set up. However, they are officially accepting applications. So, thank you very much and I hope you all enjoy and welcome our sister-blog, starfleetstation!
