14, TJ+Steve!
If I were going to write a sequel to my TJ Hammond/Steve Rogers story (which I might!) it might pick up the very next morning, when TJ and Steve wake up together and have to figure out how to actually build a relationship off a childhood friendship and a single good day. Steve's gotta get back to Brooklyn; TJ isn't really comfortable facing more temptation than he encounters at the farm. TJ's depression doesn't magically disappear because he's acknowledged it, and neither of them has much experience carrying on a genuinely functional relationship. Plus, of course, at any moment TJ's personal life can become tabloid news, and TJ's mom's political ambitions are going to drag a spotlight onto him within the year.
Soooo. That's going to be rough.
Derek never asked what he’d come over for, even when Stiles started packing up his stuff; he just walked Stiles to the door and then stood there silhouetted in the light of the hurricane lantern, big and inscrutable, until Stiles closed the door of the Jeep and turned the key in the ignition.

Please do quote 400 more pages! This sounds like an excellent book. Is it considered a solid work in the field?
The book is explicitly aimed at a popular/non-expert audience. Mann is a journalist who surveyed a vast range of experts to put the book together. He does what seems like a good job of presenting different viewpoints on this stuff while being unapologetic about coming down on the side of what he concludes is the most accurate current knowledge (as of 2005, when the book was written). I've seen criticisms of the final section where he gets into some speculation about how Native American philosophies influenced early American politics, but the reviews I've seen indicate that for the most part his pop-archaeology is a sound survey.
Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: Teen Wolf (TV) Rating: Explicit Warnings: Graphic Depictions Of Violence, Underage Relationships: Derek Hale/Stiles Stilinski, Allison Argent/Scott McCall, Scott McCall & Stiles Stilinski Characters: Stiles Stilinski, Scott McCall, Derek Hale, Allison Argent, Lydia Martin, Peter Hale, Erica Reyes, Jackson Whittemore, Sheriff Stilinski, Isaac Lahey, Chris Argent Additional Tags: Rescue, accidental feelings, Derek tries hard Summary:
"Mistletoe was often considered a pest that kills trees and devalues natural habitats, but was recently recognized as an ecological keystone species, an organism that has a disproportionately pervasive influence over its community. In Norse myth, an arrow made of mistletoe was the only thing that was able to kill the god Balder. The goddess Frigg had asked all other things to vow not to hurt Balder, but she had ignored the mistletoe because it seemed too small to be dangerous."
6 & 9 for the writing meme :)
6. Idea that you always wanted to write but could never make work?
I realize now that I have tooootally reblogged this meme before, because the answer is still: always-a-girl-Stiles! Some poor little ladybody who can't sit still and can't be good and can't not want vengeance, yes, please, someone write me THAT. I would love to be able to finish the closeted Derek in Berkeley fic people seem to be interested in, for some reason, and I try to believe that someday I will complete a canon-esque Dallison fic. That shit is hard, you guys. They totally could end up together-- warriors from opposite side of the tracks, like, why wouldn't they end up together-- and yet there is approx. a hundred million years of mistrust to get through before that's even remotely possible. Derek wondering if Allison just likes werewolves. Allison wondering if Derek just likes that she reminds him of Kate.Â
9. Favorite character to write?
DEEEEEPENDS. I think the answer used to be Derek, because he's an outsider and he's got all of this interesting supernatural sensory stuff going on, but recently it has been more Allison? Because she's just as deeply in touch with her body but it's complicated in a different way (instead of being alienated by supernatural powers she's alienated by a heightened version of standard-issue female American functional body dysmorphia). Yeah. Allison Argent. I'm deep in a ladyplace, right now. Â
