How to win the Crane Game
There're two key points to winning your prize: timing and placement of the claw's shadow. In my image I marked the shadow with yellow color, but in the game it's black of course.
The red squares show where the prize you want to retrieve is supposed to be on a conveyor belt at a certain point in time.
Let's go step-by-step and use the the left conveyor belt as an example:
✦ As soon the item you chose is in the position 1 (red square 1), move the claw and make sure its shadow lands in position 1 (marked with yellow).
✦ Wait for the item to move on the conveyor belt and reach position 2 (red square 2). As soon as that happens, drop the claw's shadow down into position 2 (marked with yellow).
If you follow these steps and time it right, the claw is guaranteed to at least grab your prize. There can be incidents where the item slips away and falls down, but they're not very often. 90-95% of the time you'll be able to get everything you want. Also, remember that practice makes perfect.
The same rules apply to the right conveyor belt, but positions of the items will be a bit different as you can see.
If you want a visual demonstration, I found a video explaining the steps for the right conveyor belt: link is here.
Year 1 Summer Tool Upgrade Guide based on the Green Rain
Small spoilers for 1.6!
Since it’s kinda bad to be without tools (especially axe) when the green rain comes, here’s a guide for upgrading tools during summer during year 1 (everyone gathers in the saloon during the first green rain, but Clint will be working during the other years)
Green - possible days for the green rain,
Yellow - good days to upgrade tools, since they’ll be ready for the green rain
Red - tools won’t be ready or won’t be able to be picked up because of the green rain, or it’s a festival day
Stardew Valley tip! (I know it at least works for mobile but should work with the other version as well)
Look up the item cods and add whichever’s you want to your name!
