oh my god the hotel scene,, it encapsulates their dynamic so well I feel like because tom can pretend and play flirty and be kind to his partners, he does it all the time, and colt is the one person he doesn’t do that with but he can’t be real or vulnerable either so he is just even more of an asshole to him than he is other people. and his crisis over them being into sadomasochism but then colt gets truly hurt?? and hooking up with another stuntman out of the hope he just has a type but even during that he doesn’t act like he did with colt? he’s what happens when a walking contradiction of insecurity with intimacy issues falls in love. I’m still going to hit him tho

also ryland not knowing who tom is (or at least pretending not to) is absolutely hilarious that in the midst of the angst I started giggling, he lives under a teaching rock and I love that for him. but it does mean colt can’t learn that tom actually visited… hmm.

also SO MANY good points!!! i was really hoping the hotel scene especially would get their dynamic across and how tom was not able to be carefree and flirty with colt (because he has feelings he tries to hide from himself and colt) so he ends up being a total asshole, pushing colt away. but there are still moments of tenderness that do slip through (like warming him up, and washing his face, letting him sleep in his bed etc) even though tom never really stops to think about them himself??

WAHH i'm just genuinely so so happy the chapter landed well :)) i was really stressing over tom's pov when i was writing it, hoping i'd managed to get my thoughts across but dude, i wasn't sure at all!

hehe ryland not knowing tom is very on brand, but he's also ME because i cannot understand how aaron taylor-johnson can actually shapeshift so well, whenever i see him in a movie i'm like?? how is this the same actor as in xx?? so i wouldn't be surprised if ryland can't recognize him in person if he's only seen tom's movies (and hasn't been really paying attention to them anyway hehe)

I just wanted to ask if you had tips for willowing a headmate?

I know you have a lot written, but I ask because I have a bit of a complicated situation.

You see (we aren't diagnosed yet) we possibly have AuAdhd, and even if we don't ever get the diagnoses for that (beaurcratic black holes suck...), we still have those signs and stuggle with the whole keeping things in focus situation.

AKA I genuinely worry that like most things we start or get into it'll fall off our brain after a few days and we'll just completely forget about it. Because that tends to happen. For literally everything.

Well, I think the thing you should keep in mind is that it's okay to be wrong! Give it a shot, try it! If it falls through, then you haven't failed and you haven't done anything wrong. And if it works out, then good! There is no penalty for trying and it not working out. You can keep trying as much as you like and if you need help sticking to it, we have posted advice on trying to keep willo-ing an active part of your life!

Starfall update

The bravegang are close to healed! And I’ve started introducing them to my cat! Gingerbrave, determined one he is, actually booped him and scared the cat! Introductions other than that have been doing ok, it’s a long process especially for cats.

I also got my endangered species license on Sunday! So at least now I don’t have to worry about cookie control taking the silent salt away. Speaking of, it was storming again for three days straight, though it was way worse, so all the cookies were inside. I got to see him hold one of the babies! Very cute! He hissed at me when I tried to go say hi, I didn’t know cookies can hiss????

Wasps have been a problem though. Paper wasps specifically, and I can’t do anything about it unfortunately. I know they can cause allergic reactions in cats but can they cause a reaction in cookies? Should I be worried about them having a really bad reaction?

Allergies can vary for cookies, similar to how they can vary for us. As far as I know, those specific cookies you have aren't prone to wasp allergies, so you shouldn't have to worry TOO much.

Hello it’s Starfall, great god that took longer than I thought.

Silent Salt was just refusing to let me under the porch no matter what I did, and I’ve done every possible thing I could. I had to get my nicer neighbor up the hill to help me, he has a Madeline that also came to help. While they were able to get silent salt away from the porch, I was able to go underneath. And I discovered a lot more underneath..

First thing: I got to see Gingerbrave and his friends again! I missed them a lot and clearly they did to.. they all didn’t look great and clearly salt has been trying to help them. I think after this I may as well just adopt the three little guys.

Second thing: there were more cookies under there. I found a baby White Lily, a baby Blue Lily, surprisingly an elder faerie, and a salt cellar. So that’s why he needed all that food…

I got them all in a shoebox and came out, the more mean neighbor had came over and silent salt was even more upset, apparently mean neighbor had did something to him but I’ll have to ask around to report it… if it ends up being true it’s no wonder silent salt doesn’t trust me :(. I got him in a shoebox to but he was not happy.. I took everyone to be checked out by the cookie doctor in the town, currently waiting to pick them up. I might go get an endangered species license just in case
