So my takeaway here is that:
1) we are united in our determination to go see Houtong haha
2) it seems to rain a lot in that area?
@fwoopersongs I hope you still got to see cats. D: Maybe even the station cats? Did you leave the station at all?
@star-shadows THANK YOU FOR THE ADVICE! We didn’t get to try the Pingxi line (I didn’t realize it was a circuit!), just Jiufen then Houtong via TRA but not before we accidentally boarded a train that dropped us at Jiaoxi lol. Navigating the shops and alleys Jiufen through a fog sounds fun, actually, apart from the rain. Glad your parents were game to go exploring in spite of the weather. XD
