so max was able to kill the nerdy prudes. but like. how. cause he only appears when they start being who they want to be, doing what they want to do. so, why doesnt that happen when kyle and brenda start dating? if its just to maintain his power, then surely he should be killing anyone who doesnt follow his rules even after hes gone, not just the nerdy prudes. why does he go after richie for being accepted as a member of the nighthawks instead of the guys who accepted him? what if max only has power over those who believe, whole-heartedly, that they are what max says they are. because richie begs with max to relinquish his title of “nerdy prude” and “loser”, and THATS when max kills him. so like, what if richie had just said - no, im not a nerdy prude! like instead of tryinh to change max’s mind, he just ignored what max thought?
