Yesterday I was a borrowed partner and some guy came in for a SCM and proceed to yell at me because the venti rang up as $5.12 instead of 5.01. Apparently I rang it up wrong when the base price + tax came out to that. Freken spoiled regulars.
I hate working at stores who have bizarre deals cut with regulars. And it's like... if you're a regular... obviously you should recognize that I don't normally work here and come to the logical conclusion that I am either A) from another store or B) a new partner. Therefore you can take your attitude and shove it up your fucking ass because that's no way to treat a person.

Go terrorize small children.
I'm staying at Keri's house and she has two small children. I assure you I have been terrorizing them.
starklawz reblogged your post “there’s a bunch of people on here that I just wanna kidnap in the night and take somewhere safe away from their shitty...”
I'm only just seeing this now so sorry for the weird delay
it's funny you should reblog this considering you're also on that kidnap list
y'know just a heads up
So a friend of mine is crashing at my place tonight and he's pretty shithoused and it's basically the most hilarious thing that's happened to me all week, ever since the toilet thing.
Anyway, this conversation happened:
starklawz: Damn, it's hot in here. *begins to take off hoodie*
kate-wisehart: It's not hot in here, you're drunk as hell.
starklawz: No, it's hot cuz I'm here, sorry, I'll leave.

I didn’t like it either don’t worry. like you I liked the premise and idea behind the episode. but the dialog killed it.
Amber (Meg from the con) and I had the same feelings so at least we all know we're not alone.
I'm still gonna rewatch it just to see if I missed something. It could be that last week's episode was just so bad that everything else is good in comparison? But whatever, to each their own I guess?
If you need to make part of your eyebrows invisible you take a glue stick and glue over your eyebrows and apply concealer once it's dried. then you can draw in the eyebrows you need. or you can glue stick and cover only the part that needs to go away up. Hope this helps!
I saw you recommend the fic How High the Moon to someone asking for an angst spirk fic. I decided to read it and loved it! I was wondering if you knew any other fics like that cuz I'm craving more and have only been in the fandom for about a week or so. thanks!
Hi & thanks for your question! How High the Moon was one of the first stories I ran across, and it seems that readers have a love it or hate it relationship with it. (Jim’s feelings are, technically, non-con — they’re caused by the bond in his head — so I understand why it really angers people.) But it’s ideal if you’re craving serious angst and unrequited love.
Since you liked that story, I would point you to what I think is that same author’s better story, Shine Like the Sun. The premise is that Jim and Spock are (consensually!) bonded, but Spock gets amnesia, remembers only that Jim Kirk is a cadet who cheated on the Kobayashi Maru, and wants the bond broken. It’s absolutely heartbreaking and angsty, but Spock Prime gets a role! Don’t be scared off by the heartbreak element. Jim Kirk doesn’t believe in no-win scenarios, and I don’t believe in unhappy endings.
Another fic I adore features pining, major denial, pon farr, soul bonding, and alien goo. It’s Sea Change by jouissant, and you should totally read it.
If you like AU, check out Take Refuge in What You Know, which is a novel-length love story in which Spock is Jim’s neighbor suffering from agoraphobia. Slow build, lots of UST, lots of frustration, with mind meld goodness.
Fighting Gravity is one of my favorite AOS stories. The premise is that Spock goes to New Vulcan, and he and Jim don’t see each other for years. When Jim finds him, Spock is living on the streets. Spock is incredibly standoffish. It’s super slow-build and sweet. I’ve read it twice.
If you like the idea of Kirk and Spock raising an orphaned Vulcan child, read So Wise We Grow. It’s so lovely. They are not together romantically for the majority of the story, so there is some great UST and angst.
If Jim/Spock Prime doesn’t squick you (I love it), the only angsty thing I currently have in my own archive is Watching Stars, in which a semi-heartbroken Jim takes solace in Spock Prime during shore leave. I intended it to be an optimistic story, but people keep telling me it makes them cry.
WOW, that got long! I hope you enjoy a couple of those. They are all AOS K/S. I love several TOS pieces too, so if you have an interest in the original OTP, let me know!
