Anemia and our dear Gregory Violet

Since Gregory’s collapse in the latest chapter, the removal of blood indicated by the bruises on his forearm can be seen as one of the reasons as to his collapse. Iron-deficiency anemia can lead to fatigue and dizziness, thus to his collapse on stage. However, upon looking into the general symptoms of anemia:

Fatigue

Weakness

Pale or yellowish skin

Irregular heartbeats

Shortness of breath

Dizziness or lightheadedness

Chest pain

Cold hands and feet

Headache

I wondered something else: is it possible that Gregory has had anemia before the S4? Inherited it? Gregory ticks multiple boxes here, most noticeably being pale skinned. Gregory has always been pale and avoids sun. Others have speculated ideas such as a sun allergy, or photodermatitis, etc. And as he paints instead of does sport (much like the rest of Purple House), we can assume he could lack the strength to do sport. In addition, Gregory appears to be the smallest and skinniest of the P/S4 and has always been. Weight loss, inexplicable weight loss can also be a sign of iron-deficiency anemia. However, some people may appear to be perfectly healthy even with anemia because the symptoms are so small. But with the constant removal of blood, this may have been accelerated or increased his anemia to the point where he collapses.

The biggest issue I have with this is: if Gregory does indeed have anemia or has had it before the S4, WHY IS HE STILL DONATING BLOOD? Would someone in the period have recognised his symptoms? Answer: POSSIBLY! According to Google, by the time period Black Butler was set in, it should have been possible to diagnose someone with anemia. So, why has Gregory been donating blood even as a potential anemic? Even though he is indeed the rarest blood type, if he does have anemia, wouldn’t the blood be rendered useless due to the lack of iron? Or maybe that’s Bravat’s plan?! To kill, hurt or injure Gregory? But why on earth would Gregory, and not the S4, be the biggest target? What is it that… OH.

Several people have speculated that Gregory has been rebelling against Bravat. From giving Ciel the oranges, and other actions, this could make Bravat want to rid Gregory from the S4. But Bravat can’t just very well use a knife or sword or whatever and stab Gregory! That would be FAR TOO SUSPICIOUS to the rest of the S4. I mean, just imagine Bravat trying to explain the unexpected death of Gregory to the rest of the S4! And yes, it’s possible to die from anemia. So if Gregory’s had large amounts of blood taken from him, combined with his low haemoglobin count from iron-deficiency anemia, it’s possible that he could pass out (WHICH LITERALLY JUST HAPPENED TO HIM) and die from cardio-respiratory collapse. And maybe that’s Bravat’s plan?! Why else would Gregory be asked to donate so much? If his fortune telling is a fraud, which is definitely more than possible (Consider the S4. What are the chances they each represent one bloodtype? Incredibly low.), then it would be easy to label Gregory as the “important one” and require him to donate much, much more than the rest of the S4. And it wouldn’t be suspicious, because everything that Bravat has set up can make Gregory’s death seem like an accident. Its way too eerie and suspicious, don’t you think? But hey, that’s just a theory. A GAME ANIME/MANGA THEORY! (I have been watching too much Game Theory lately...)
