What a chapter ! Here are some thoughts !

If Ciel said it smells shady then it is.

TBH, I wonder about how historically accurate her tale is, namely about the timeline of "dangerous ideas" in Russia.

Maybe it’s what bothered Ciel, maybe it’s something else, but this woman seems odd to him, so I don’t trust her.

Sharada

Glad we all agree she's Agni's little sister T_T

Though I gotta admit that I was quite relieved to meet her !

Let me explain : I, like others, is anxious about Soma becoming Ciel's Agni or going down the path of revenge. However ! Soma eventually meeting Sharada and telling her what a good man her brother became could be the way to make him remember he has to live on, in order to honor Agni's sacrifice.

In other words, it might not be a fall down the abyss that's awaiting Soma but mourning and moving on, which is a step further from Ciel and other antagonists who decidedly can't do so.

Her introduction moved me. Hopefully she'll survive whatever's about to happen in this arc.

Darius

Truthfully I don't care about him, but his last name "Starling" is... interesting. With the whole "radiance" thing from the blue sect arc & "blue star line" (iirc) from the Campania arc, I wonder if there's more about him than we can initially guess.

I guess we'll see.

Edit : as pointed out by @fwippysays in the comments they made a mistake localizing his name which is Sterling.

The fact he mentions a master seems to be yet another small hint/confirmation about the fact he's most likely Polaris :

I also think there's a hint in the ball scene from his flashback about during which era he lived, namely because of the dress & suit fashion (@tothelasthoursofmylife if you have any idea ? you're always my reference about this) :

But definitely the most important part of his tale is the demon he encountered :

Now is it truly Seb (is it Brown) or another demon, I don't think the answer matters right now, because Modri's absolutely convinced that it's Seb (thanks to UT's altering his cinematic record maybe ?).

What I really want to convey is that if demons' "true form" is more or less always like the goo above, no wonder Bravat can instantly recognize them on sight...

And Frances always complains about Seb's appearance xDD.

about bravat what do you think that he will appear again in the future chapters ? and what do you think his role will be ?

Let’s see... the last time we saw Blavat Sky, he was in Yard custody, and he didn’t even try to run away when our earl and Sebastian escaped. He stayed behind and waited for Abberline to show up.

I was half expecting him to be released from custody and somehow end up involved with the “Miracle Nurse” situation at Athena Sanatorium. Either he would be the so-called “Miracle Nurse”, or he would otherwise be involved, like adding to the hype. But this doesn’t seem to be the case at all.

It’s possible we see him again, but I’m not at all willing to bet on it. He’s been caught by the Yard, is in custody and has made no attempts to escape, doesn’t seem to have anyone to vouch for him, and now he’s openly pretending to be devoted to our earl... the one that real Ciel wants all his devotees to call “Lord Sirius”.

What more purpose did he have at that point, other than to be questioned by Abberline, Randall, etc... and give some very detailed — and completely false — testimony about our earl being the “Lord Sirius” he’s so devoted to?

There is the scene where he’s waiting for Abberline to show up, and Blavat looks somewhat pensive. I once made a shitpost, with a The Onion headline, that he’s contemplating death, but it was only a half joke. Truly, he might have been coming to terms with the fact that he has outlived his usefulness to real Ciel, and the last important thing he can do (his last task) is perpetuate this lie that real Ciel wants everyone to believe: that our earl is the “Lord Sirius” in charge of the operations at Sphere Music Hall that killed numerous people.

Let’s face it, real Ciel and Undertaker having Blavat come forward as our earl’s devotee is as good as sending him to the wolves. They might have truly dispensed with him after this. He could now be paying the price for his true involvement in the murders, and we don’t know simply because no one’s POV we are seeing is keeping up with the newspapers and showing us the latest legal developments. And he’s willing to do it because he’s apparently a true believer.

There are two ways we could see/hear about him again:

He’s reported as receiving punishment for his involvement with Sphere Music Hall, or

Whether we get reports about it or not, he somehow manages to get free, and he shows up again... but probably in some disguise, since otherwise he might have trouble being of any use again.

He seems to be more expendable than the Viscount of Druitt... more like Rian/Ryan Stoker. Blavat will be lucky if he lives.
