What’s the best thing about the show/series/books/comics/etc.?
trigun stampede's got a big emphasis on its characters, in having a character-driven plot; it's been interesting to me to watch things unfold so far, alongside getting to see how they've been "remixed" from their trigun maximum counterparts.
right off the bat (when characters are introduced, i mean), the show gives you a good sense of where these characters have strengths and flaws (& whether they're good at hiding it, or even desire to hide it and why), how their principles and goals synergize and clash with one another, and hints at where their character development could head, depending on the relationship being focused on on-screen.
regardless if the viewer is familiar with previous installments of trigun, i think anyone could pick up on how these characters speak/act/move(/even how they're designed), to form a good picture as to why they end up doing what they do.
..... 💀 that's sort of vague and basic for me to say as a blanket statement but lol. i get the impression the team was not being dishonest in saying they paid careful attention into previous iterations of these characters in creating them (& the worlds they resided in), because the love shows clear to me so far.
^there's certain characters that may disappoint me or not fit the bill in saying that, and it's totally plausible that orange could completely fumble this in the end, but we're still in single-digit episode count at the time of posting this, and i've been trying to keep patient
