It surprises them, really. The blurting of Marcille's answer and then when she begins to ramble in that sweet and cute way that she does, Indigo can't contain it and bursts out laughing. "You answered in SUCH a you way, it's lovely." They didn't need a romance book kind of reply. Not from Marcille of course. Never.
"I do want to spend the rest of our time here together." They say, voice softening. If worse came to worse and one of them left with no memories of their time together, Indigo at least hoped that something would remind them that there was someone who was deeply and madly in love with the other. Marcille was their sun. Nothing was going to change that.
"I love you Marcille Donato." And with that, they slide that ring right around Marcille's finger.
✲ "I-I'd hope I'd answer in a me way!" Having her outburst pointed out to her had just made Marcille shy again, and so she went a little quiet. This gave Indigo a chance to say what they wanted to say. Her face was burning red and she was having a little trouble breathing. Not in a million years did she think she'd be proposed to!
"I love you too! And hey, its exactly my size!" The ring had slid on perfectly. But Marcille, being Marcille, suddenly realized something important. She jumped up and threw her arms around Indigo's neck so that she could whisper what had occurred to her into their ear. "We should start figuring out the ceremony right away! There are so many little details to iron out!"
For the detail oriented Marcille, a big event was like a dream come true when it came to planning and organizing.
