Helloooooooo
Post tma is hitting me hard and I've been wanting to listen to The Mechanisms for a bit but tbh all the ✨lore✨ intimidates me a bit
Is there a good order to listen to their music to in terms of understanding lore?
Hi!!!
Well, I started with Once Upon A Time (In Space) because that was one of their first albums and it sort of explains how the mechanisms work in terms of how their albums go and what sort of story progression it follows. Then I just picked Ulysses Dies At Dawn, High Noon Over Camelot, and The Bifrost Incident (because starting with their story albums is a lot easier I think). As for lore, there is a lot of lore in their Tales to be Told albums. Then you can go on their website and read some fiction that was written (either about certain albums and characters in those albums, or about the mechs themselves). Then, when all that’s done, you should listen to Death to the Mechanisms last (take a guess on what happens in that album!)
This was just the order I did it in. I don’t know if it’s that good because I can’t just listen for the first time again, but I liked how I did it!
