This is K. pneumoniae, known for causing pneumonia, grown on MAC.

MAC, or MaConkey Agar is a type of growth material that changes color when bacteria ferment lactose, and it's used to identify gram negative organisms.

Well, bacteria have membranes that protect them from the environment, much like how we have skin.

"Starry, what the hecc are grams?"

Gram positive bacteria are bois that have Dummy Thicccccccc tm cell membranes

Gram negative bacteria are scrunkily lads that have skinny ass membranes

The bacteria above, K. pneumoniae is just one of these scrunkily lads

Ok so in Poland there was a huge storm yesterday and one of the iconic historic cranes in Gdańsk's port fell over into the canal, blocking the way. Here's the article with more pics and a video of the fall:

Hello my wonderful taglist peoples

I just want to apologize for suddenly disappearing off the face of the Earth the last few months. My inspiration to write kind of dwindled as we neared TBB finale, since I was so nervous about what was going to happen lmfao. I had full intent of picking up again after the finale.

BUT that coincided with my job becoming so incredibly toxic all my focus and energy went to applying for jobs, as I desperately needed to leave. Luckily, I was able to get a new job, but that has also taken up more of my time as I am currently settling into a new career, on top of a lot of other things outside the internet that have kept me busy.

ANYWAY, just wanted to give ya’ll a little update. I am still here!! lurking and reblogging, but my writing is on a lil’ hiatus (for now).

To any unanswered asks: I’m sorry, but my inbox is still open if anyone wants to chat! I can feel the ~creative spark slowly coming back, and I intend to continue writing once the dust settled a bit and I can find the time. I have some ideas currently brewing ;)
