finished ms painting! was on call with a good friend while i did this, honestly pretty happy with the final :)

done in windows 10 vers ms paint, watercolor brush. limited value scale (gave myself 10 values including black n white) and a whole lotta stubbornness. ref is a ss i took in game

wanted to post this here too, first time drawing eggchan, mostly working out his wings and stuff here. clothes will be changed most likely cause i lwky cheated on the pose (traced a stock photo ref) cause i did this on ibis and i havent drawn for real on ibis in literal years

anyways a couple hcs: he glows/blurs at the edges cause of his whole angel thing going on and it can be rather hard to look at. he also has feathers on way more than just his wings, which u can see a little of here. he also usually hides his eyes with the head wings

hosea wip, the hat is wonky but its the first pass of value so its basically still my sketch lmao

meant to do the same with the face then spent like 20 minutes making sure everything was placed and shaded correctly. sad part is it probably needs to be darker anyway

actually posting some art here, taking inspo from rdr2 (which has my made accent so much worse btw, i said folks (read: fokes) the other day.

anyways most of these refs are from pinterest, my age old companion. done in ink, some with brush, some with dip pen. the brownish ink is dr ph martins bombay black ink and the other is a traditional oak/iron ink (wtvr that means) that i picked up from ren faire earlier this year.

think ill do some actual rdr2 art soon, ive been having a mighty fine time playing the game despite the accent problems.

note- those last three were actually a side project. friend of mine had this big ol canvas she didnt like, had me turn it over and paint the back for christmas. its plain black acrylic done with a few cheap brushes and far too much worrying.

i have finally let myself restart the minecraft phase...

and im playing a lightly modded pack that adds the farlands back (1.21.8 vers), sophisticated storages' whole suite, waystones, graves, a sleeping bag/hammock, a couple chisel mods, some biome/structure compasses, xaero's map stuff, and then qol of stuff.

and since i added the farlands i am making it my goal to get to them! i basically immediately got a horse (and 2 dogs so far) and have just been traveling so far. couple hours of play got me 10k blocks west.

exploration has been super fun, i love backpacks for making it easy. im usually a "make a base and explore but always come back there" guy so for once im trying to put off making a base and just living nomadically. been able to loot a ton of stuff (3 desert temples, several villages, 2 buried treasures, a few shipwrecks, too many ruined portals, a surface mineshaft too) and i feel so rich.

also found this cool ass cave open to surface:

it had some lava and stuff nearby too, thats actually what caught my attention bc the part open to the surface had a huge lavafall that managed to spread so far i thought the cave reached a lava lake.

my next goals are to figure out what to name my horse (dogs will be named later prob) and also figure out how far i want to go before i stop and do any mining or anything. itll probably be soon cause i want to upgrade my gold backpack to diamond for more storage, but i still want to continue moving west. eventually i plan to go to the nether to travel west as would be smart (farlands are 12 million smth blocks from spawn) and with an elytra, but i dont want to deal with the ender dragon and stuff yet at all. might start planning that around 1 million blocks west honestly, would be a cool milestone. and a cool first base too.

expect more update posts from me because i have no one to talk to about my worlds usually (at least no one who will really care lmfao) along with more art soon hopefully :') i heart minecraft
