Waiting in photography is essential. Waiting for the perfect lighting or the perfect moment require patience. Sometimes you need to wait a while to look back through your photographs after a shoot. What looks okay one day may look great a few weeks later. As an art form photography requires a lot of patient waiting. These photos from Natural Bridges State Park in Santa Cruz were taken over a year ago. Over the past year my style and taste in photography has developed. I find it important to go back and look and see what has changed. While the photographs didn’t change, I did. Waiting is good sometimes. Developing the skill of patience is good sometimes.
