I think no one has asked for radiorose bingo yet right? Anyways aside from radiorose how bout serapheard (which I'm like 99% sure is Emily x Abel but specially considering most people use "joy" for Emily in ship names one would think this to be Sera x Abel) Sera & Pentious, and staticheard (which tbh I wasn't interested until yesterday when I saw art of Vox manipulating Abel into instigating war by using the memory of his father and thought "ok wait lwk I dig this", yes yes I'm easy when it comes to ships I know)
I enjoy their dynamic, but I'm definitely more interested in finding out their respective secrets than in seeing more of them interacting. Like, Alastor does know something about what Rosie is up to, and he could theoretically use that to his advantage (either to make a new deal with her or someone else, or by using the information himself), but S2 felt like a pretty conclusive end to their relationship. I wouldn't be upset if their paths cross again, but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't, either.
Apart from that, I don't mind seeing them as a pair. I've read a couple friendship fics that predated S2 and enjoyed them (come to think of it, I've hardly seen any fics set after S2 where they even interact). I've also seen the theory that Alastor waited so long to escape his deal with her because he felt safe with her in some way, which would definitely be an interesting avenue for shippers to explore (though I also wonder if part of Alastor's "no friends in Hell" thing is because of Rosie. She treats him like a friend, but she also owns him, so it's like... If that's what friendship looks like in Hell, then there are no friends. It probably isn't the cause of his behavior, but it certainly wouldn't help).
I am once again lacking a square for "they're cute" without the negative.
We've haven't really seen that much of them interacting in canon, but they already give me Besties energy. I don't usually enjoy pairing a timid character with a super outgoing one because it's so easy for the timid one to get steamrolled in favor of what the other wants, but Abel isn't really timid. He's conflict avoidant, but otherwise he's just laid back and chill. And going by the montage during Like You, he and Emily enjoy a lot of the same things, so he's probably pretty comfortable suggesting activities (also going by Like You, he's capable of matching her energy if he wants to).
I'm not invested in them, but they'd be cute together.
So I haven't talked about Sera, like, at all. Which is frankly a travesty, because I love her subplot in S2. And the bond she develops with Sir Pentious is a major reason why.
I love when a nonhuman character who considers themself beyond human understanding gets close to a human without meaning to (and realizes humans aren't so different in the ways that matter).
I love that the character whose arc revolves around guilt receives comfort and guidance from someone who's been there.
I love that Pentious genuinely doesn't hold a grudge for how Sera treated him when he first arrived in Heaven, especially since being forgiven for his own actions meant so much to him.
And, of course, I love the moment when a panicking Sera decides to trust Pentious. Maybe she doesn't trust her own decisions right now, but she trusts him explicitly. Love that so much.
I really hope we see more of them interacting going forward. It'll probably depend on how much of a role Sera has in the overall story, but like. At least a couple scenes. Gimme.
Aaand now I'm lacking a square that's "this is a real ship?" without the negative.
I spent like, five minutes sitting here trying to imagine any interaction between them. And all I could think about was that Vox was watching the fight between the Exorcists and the hotel crew, so he knows at least something of what Adam was like. So I was just picturing him looking at Abel like... How does this happen.
Then I remembered Abel trying to mediate between Emily and Lute with, "I think you both make some good points". And you know what, I could absolutely see Vox latching onto Abel as someone who's easy to manipulate. Like, step in, deescalate a situation, obtain the gratitude of someone who hates confrontations and offer to teach him a few things. For a price, of course. You could do something with these two, for sure.
Would they work as an actual romantic pair? Absolutely not. They have nothing in common. However, it amuses me to imagine someone asking Abel what he sees in that guy, and all he has to say is that Vox is adorable when he's with Shok.wav. Same energy as Baxter throwing in with the hotel crew because of how his blankets were folded.
I could maybe see a one-sided crush happening. Exclusively because of Vox's love for sharks.
