Description: Caught in the rain, you and Felix stumble across a shivering kitten. He insists on taking it home, cradling it like it’s the most precious thing in the world, leaving you wondering how your heart can ache this sweetly.
The rain had been falling all afternoon, soft at first but now heavier, soaking the sidewalks and painting everything in muted shades of gray.
You pulled your jacket tighter around yourself, shivering as Felix held his hoodie over both of you, trying to shield you from the downpour. His hair had gone damp, strands sticking to his forehead, but his smile never wavered as the two of you hurried down the street.
“Almost there,” he said, his voice carrying that warm lilt you loved.
Just as you were about to turn the corner, a faint, pitiful sound broke through the rhythm of raindrops. It was so soft you almost missed it until Felix stopped walking and tilted his head.
“Did you hear that?” he asked, frowning slightly.
The mewling sound came again. You both followed it, stepping closer to the alley by the bookstore. There, huddled beneath a bent metal pipe, was the tiniest kitten you’d ever seen. Its fur was matted and soaked, trembling from the cold.
Your heart clenched instantly. “Oh no…” you whispered, crouching down.
Felix was already kneeling in the puddle without a second thought, holding his hoodie out wider so the rain wouldn’t splash onto the kitten. His hands moved with a gentleness you’d only seen in the way he treated people he loved carefully, as though he might break something fragile.
“Hey, little one,” He murmured, his accent softening the words, “it’s okay, don’t be scared.”
The kitten looked up with wide, scared eyes, and Felix slowly extended his hand.
When the tiny creature didn’t run, he scooped it up and pressed it against his chest, shielding it under his hoodie. The kitten let out a weak mewl, then nestled against the warmth of his shirt.
You stared, unable to stop the way your chest tightened. The rain slid down his cheek, his lips parted slightly as he looked at the little ball of fur in his arms like it was the most precious thing in the world.
“Felix…” you whispered, completely caught off guard by the sight.
He looked up at you then, his freckles glowing faintly against his damp skin, and you realized how much love and care sat in his eyes. “We can’t just leave the little guy here,” Felix said simply, as if there were no other option. “It wouldn’t make it through the night.”
You nodded, touched by how certain he was. “What do we do?”
He pulled the kitten closer, his arms cradling it as though it was something breakable. “We take it home. I’ll dry it off, make sure it’s warm. We can get food for it tomorrow.”
As you both started walking again, you noticed how carefully he adjusted his hoodie so that the kitten wouldn’t feel a single drop of rain. He kept whispering to the kitten nonsense words, little reassurances, his voice like honey even in the storm.
When you reached your apartment, he set the kitten down on a towel and immediately went to work, grabbing another dry cloth and dabbing at its fur. You watched from the couch, your heart twisting in the sweetest way. He was so careful, so patient, making sure not to startle the little thing.
“See? You’re safe now,” he said softly, smiling when the kitten purred faintly.
You leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed, and felt yourself melting. He looked up at you, cheeks pink not just from the cold but from the way you were staring.
“What?” he asked shyly, brushing his damp hair back with one hand while still holding the towel with the other.
You shook your head, smiling at him. “Nothing. Just… you’re really good with it. You’re good with… everything.”
Felix laughed lightly, rubbing the back of his neck. “I just… couldn’t walk away, you know? It was so small. It reminded me of… I don’t know, just… needing someone.”
The kitten mewed again, curling into the towel, and Felix’s face softened even more. He reached down and gently stroked its head, his thumb moving in the gentlest circles.
Watching him, you felt something stir so strongly it made your throat tight. The way Felix looked at the kitten, the way he instinctively wanted to protect and comfort. It was the same way he treated you when you were hurting.
Felix finally looked back up at you, his smile quiet but certain. “Guess we’ve got a new little family member, huh?”
Your heart ached in the best way possible. You sat down beside him, the two of you shoulder-to-shoulder as you watched the kitten fall asleep between you.
And in that quiet moment, with the rain still pattering softly against the windows, you realized that maybe the kitten wasn’t the only one who had just found a safe place.
okay why do stays keep saying antis photoshopped those pics of changbin at the airport..
yall. its his body.
why is his body type so wrong to some stays that u have to claim/believe antis photoshopped them to feel better about HIS body??? the reason im bringing this up is because stays are literally commenting on some of the pics of him from dominATE in seoul and are saying “antis who photoshopped him at the airport better take another look.” there are literally MULTIPLE pictures of him from the airport that day taken by fansites. he has a belly in all 3 of the pictures i have.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT??
stays swear up and down antis are the problem, but its ALSO your internalized fatphobia and body standard expectations for korean idols. how can you guys even call yourselves fans of changbin, let alone the group?? changbin has a belly. its not the end of the fucking world, so stop acting like it.
