Sharon Rooney joins the cast of Manchester crime drama No Offence - in her first role as a villain! (Also starring Claire Rushbrook!)

Series 3 of No Offence starts 13 September on Channel 4.

Sharon Rooney has just finished filming her new role in series 3 of police drama No Offence. Here she is with Saira Choudhry (PC Tegan Thompson) and other members of the cast (can’t decide if that’s a Tittensor twin there, in the hood?).

Sharon plays the sister of the leader of a Far Right group. She says her character is ‘horrible’ - it’s gonna be so strange seeing her play a baddie! (And will she unveil a Mancunian accent?)

Also new to the cast is Claire Rushbrook, who played Sharon’s screen mum in My Mad Fat Diary. I really hope they get scenes together! (And look out for Lisa McGrillis - Hebburn, The Pass, Mum - another of my fave actors!)
