Things were nice in Liyue, everything was going so smoothly. Especially now that he had Zhongli practically wrapped around his finger. Secretly courting each other over the time he’s spent there, meeting at night or middle of the day to release the tension between them. Ajax had to admit the lord of geo was quite addicting. Despite lying to him he convinced him to finally trust him again. Even the archon was being vulnerable with him. Showing him forms he didn’t expect to see. Especially during that one night. The former god more needy than ever and it lasted days of them in bed, and everywhere they could get their hands on each other. Ajax had to call out from work for a while for not being able to move his legs. It was humiliating but it was oh so worth it all as he was claimed by the archon despite not truly knowing.

When it came time to traveling away to Inazuma he wasn’t sure when he’d be back but he promised to write. Though that promise wasn’t met as unexpected things seemed to happen. Ever since those long rough nights he’s been feeling off? Slightly bloated and achy, yet there’s no sign of his monthly. That’s what kind of knocked it into place with him. Even when fighting beside the traveler they made sure he was ok because they must’ve seen the looks he was giving. He was grateful for them honestly.

Now here he is back in Liyue in Bu Bu pharmacy after one of his coworkers dragged him over after he fainted in front of the new recruits. Everything feels so heavy, especially this feeling deep inside him. He knows but is it real? That’s all out the window now as he looks up at the pharmacist who gave him the examination. The snake hissing in response he should talk with the father considering this wasn’t going to be a normal pregnancy. But he hardly knew if Zhongli even wanted kids! They never really brought it up! Taking the vitamins he was given he finally set back down the stairs. That is till he saw the man he was dreading to see when he came back here. Eyes wide he soon avoids eye contact with him as he hurries past. Baizhu placing his hands on his hips at the top as he watches the ginger run off.

“He really shouldn’t be running in his condition” the pharmacist sighs softly as runs a hand through his hair before looking to the consultant.

“Ah mr. Zhongli, how you this evening?”

It was seldom a surprise running into the man in the busy streets of Liyue. Naturally, he trailed after him, giving a smile as greeting as Zhongli walked through the marketplace. Upon stopping at one particular stall, his mind began to wonder, a question coming to mind in the momentary silence. “Say, Mr. Zhongli, will you always remain in Liyue? You no longer have as strong ties here as any other place. Wouldn’t you like to travel some day?,” he asked out of the blue, his gaze having lingered on a pair of jades one of the merchants was selling. “I imagine it isn’t very exciting staying in one place for so long!” Then again the ex-Archon had ruled for so many years...
