In this world, Wonder Woman is an international icon, a symbol of Truth and Peace. After leaving her home to stop multiple major global conflicts, Diana would find herself the center of attention. She was even chosen as the representative of the United Nations itself, though that would be short-lived. Over time, the fame and admiration, the constant meetings, summits, and paperwork began to overshadow her hero work, so she just left. She walked away from it all, instead choosing to help the people on the ground as an international vigilante. On her path, she'd meet a young man, half-atlantean. He had been outcast from his home, same as her, so she took him under her wing, training him to be a warrior who fights for the weak. Together they'd slay monsters, and help prevent conflicts around the world.

Many ages ago, a fragment of an ancient cosmic artifact embedded itself into the surface of the planet. Over the years, it would lie underground, absorbing into the very planet itself.

As humanity overcame conflicts throughout the ages, the strength of the fragment grew, creating an energy field.

Each labored step forward, each time a boxer would stand back up, each and every "I got one more in me," every wipe of sweat, or gripped wound, generates an energy, an previously undetected waveform of light.

The waveform of sheer human willpower itself, a verdant and raw shade of green. These energies began to flow throughout the world, enveloping it in a sphere of protection from fear and doubt.

But with a the arrival of a hero so hopeful, the energy began to display its own will, gaining a level of sentience it had been lacking before. It had become capable of manifesting into a singular point in space as an entity.
