A quick painting I did as a break from working on commissions, because I didn't want to miss doing my annual spooky season doodle. So here's Steeltalon on the hunt! \o/

Specifically gave myself three colors to work with and less than an hour to get this painted, just for the challenge. I'm really proud of how it turned out, and that I'm getting very comfortable with just trying things in this style.

So I did end up playing Veilguard. I have very mixed feelings about it. I can't call my experience terrible, because I had enough fun to finish a sixty-hour playthrough. I can't call it great, because...it wasn't, lmfao. I'm almost sorry someone else spent money on a game that I ended up so frustrated with on multiple levels.

But hey, I ended up with an excuse to do this experimental doodle, so that's neat. Wanted to see how much of my process I could cut out and still get something I'd call finished. As it turns out, quite a lot! Though I like getting into small details too much to do every piece this way.

Good for doodling out some feelings in a couple hours, though.

This was supposed to be Saltriovenator with tiger patterning but I'm still somewhat lost in the spooky sauce, so those aren't tiger stripes anymore. \o/

Throwback to the days when Steeltalon lived alone and her home was a literal hole in the ground; a cave system well away from the reach of Isla Sorna's larger predators. She was one of my first OCs, had her since I was a wee bean of eleven years old. Being a violent cave hermit was not the edgiest I wrote her as, nor the stupidest thing I ever wrote her doing. Ah, the good old days of RP forums.

Anyway long story short I saw one of these Goretober prompts was "hooks", and how could I NOT immediately think of raptor claws

I'm a little late for Dragon Age Day, but it's always time to celebrate (and mod, and replay) this janky old game in my heart. First time I've ever done a screenshot redraw, though! I'm pretty well pleased with how it turned out. :D

I like filigree but I don't really understand filigree
