Enjoyed this movie quite a bit! Inspired me to do a practice drawing based on my favorite scene in it.

I'm admittedly not very familiar with the source material, but please, go watch it in theaters if you can! I need a sequel! I need more of Skeletor's self-indulgent monologuing injected into my eardrums!

When they're clearing the safe house in Italy, Ziva says she doesn't want to fall back into "bad habits". When they're talking about their kiss, suddenly Tony is calling it "old habits". There is this pained flicker in Ziva's eyes. (Wow did she get in deep in just a week.) And then in, Dr. Lang's apartment, suddenly Ziva's calling this thing between them "old habits", too.

A bad habit is a thing to avoid. But an old habit? It's not a bad idea; they just have history that they need to deal with. That history can be heavy, but it's also what built the hard-won trust, love, deep knowing of each other that they have.

Seems to me that the true old habit they're afraid of is letting themselves want each other too much.

Kaishin college au (Shinichi isn't a detective, Kaito isnt Kid, No BO or Zoo)

Kaito is a struggling poor college student enrolled in chemistry and engineering. One day, due to desperation to have end meet after having been laid off from a frankly awful convenience store part time job, decided to steal from one Kudo Shinichi, art major, who is known to be from the Kudo family, dressed in branded items and drove around in a sports car. Rich enough to be stolen from without the guy looking around twice.

So Kaito did his due diligence, eavesdropped on conversations to find Kudo's adress (predictably a penthouse apartment), staked out the place, chose his theif outfit (black everything, a cap and a mask) and more until the faithful day he came to steal. Sneaking in took some bit of work but pick locking was a skill dreamed up famous magician of Ekoda highschool Kaito already mastered. Seriously though, no matter how much reclusive and different Kaito is in college, it always made his highschool days seem more like a fever dream. What can he say? He's more jaded, mature and aware of reality now?

He entered the penthouse, rummaging around and pocketing things when the door opened and Kudo Shinichi walks in his apartment and sees a thief. Kaito immediately booked it for the balcony, the shout of thief behind him as Kudo tried to chase but was too late, watching in shock as the thief jumped out of a 49th floor balcony. That shock quickly turned to suprise as Kudo watched the thief suddenly unfold into a hang glider. Which wow, props to the thief for having the guts to jump at such a balcony at this level. And also wow, that is damn impressive to watch and see happen in front of him.

Kudo Shinichi, exhausted after having finished hundreds of charcoal paintings, got called before going home and informed by an apologetic professor that his paintings got accidentally water damaged to a leaky roof from last night's rain, absolutely suffering from a chronic karmic luck where whenever he gets lucky, he needs to brace for something awful and finally, finally, gets home to his apartment just to find out he got robbef by an unexpectedly skilled hang gliding thief. Damn it, Shinichi wasn't even mad he got robbed by said thief.

"Honestly, he earned it." Shinichi mumbled before just closing his balcony doors, rubbing his face as he didnt care he smudged charcoal all over it. He stumbled to his bed with blessed relief and conked out asleep.

Meanwhile, days passed with Kaito aggressively budgetting. He gets one call from his neglectful mother that ruins his plans to stay crime free after his daring stunt.

"What do you mean you're cutting off my college tuition fee?!"

Thus started Kaito's days of thieving one unfortunate victim, Kudo Shinichi.

I am reading so many different bloodymary fics at once as they are being updated that every time i open the latest chapter i hit "previous chapter" and re-read it to remind myself exactly which items the author has selected from the fucked up all you can read buffet that is two slightly weird guys in space with a rock and some trauma.
