Verdell and his trusty assistance Peribot!
“Awww, the game looks like fun!” Lulu whined.
“Can’t trust if the gear will work for us nor if we can revive from the hits,” Marwick mentioned.
“Also, ink only comes from your tentacles. Not your whole body. How would you even play,” Joey commented.
Pouting, Lulu continued to watch the turf wars game on the big screen in the square.
“I am too old to chase you around the stellar little shale” -Grandivine
“Well, our situation could be worse,” Lulu remarked as she stir the pop of vegetable soup that was being made of a campfire.
Having collected things from Inkopolis, the group returned to the steam engine as they made base there.
“I suppose. It’s crazy to think there are no humans left and most people are either octopi or squids,” Joey commented.
“The Jellyfish were neat,” Marcy brought up.
“They were. So cute,” Lulu hummed.
Placing a few more pieces of wood on the fire, Lutarna speaks up.
“Either way, we are going to be stuck here for a few days,” Lutarna sighs before taking a seat next to Lulu.
“You’re just upset you can’t see your college sweetheart for a few days,” Lulu joked.
Blushing, Lutarna huffed before looking away in annoyance, antenna flashing in fast paced strobes. Lulu just laughed.
“So they really are all fish folk,” Marcy remarks.
“Seems so,” Joey commented as he adjusted the shades he was wearing.
Arriving at the city, Lulu with Nieko and Nigel hunted down a drift store to buy some hats and shades for Marcy, Marwick, and Joey. Seeing as no humans were around, the crew didn’t want their friends sticking out.
Finding a dinner, the group walked in as they placed orders.
“We don’t seem to stick out too much. No body is batting an eye at us,” Nigel remarks, looking around at the other customers in the dinner, “But where are their antenna?”
“Perhaps different evolution than ours,” Lulu shrugged.
“It’s a possibility,” Lutarna remarked as she took a sip of her drink.
“Still, it’s crazy to see just sea folk,” Joey remarked, “So what now?”
“I say eat food and look around after,” Marwick stated.
Nodding, the group agreed.
If only the humans who created the stellar station in ‘*’
had known the star was alive, and willing to retaliate for their use of its gasses for fuel.
